Inventory # 10083 Location: Moore Haven, FL General Description: This 1985 33' Trojan 10 Meter Express Cruiser went aground bending both shafts, props and rudders. Vessel was not submerged and both engines were reported to be running when the vessel was brought to the haul out after accident. The hull is in fair condition with shiny paint, vessel is painted. There were no evidence of holes in hull. There are several nicks and dings throughout the vessel above the waterline. It was noted that the propeller shafts showed heavy corrosion which appeared to be pre-existing condition and may not be serviceable. The struts are shimmed with wood which has deteriorated. There are recent gouges in the gelcoat below the waterline that penetrate the gelcoat that appear to be caused from the grounding. The rudders are transom mounted. The vessel was reported to have transited to the haul out under its own power with both engines running. No evidence of the vessel taking on water from the grounding was sighted. The overall condition of the vessel is poor due to lack of maintenance and repairs that do not comply with standard marine practice. Some soft spots in the aft deck were noted. The wiring in the engine compartment and at the transom is poorly done and not well supported. Some circuit connections use wiring nuts and electrical tape. The bow pulpit was apparently broken in recovery efforts and hanging. There was enough battery power in one bank to test some items. It appears that other items were powered by a different bank that was discharged. Not all equipment could be tested as no power to vessel at time of inspection. Other: AC is in poor condition. The AC raw water pump and controls are present. The AC unit has been removed. Arch: Aft leaning arch supports antennas and bimini top canvas. Well secured. Gauges and controls appear in fair condition. Most gauges were Teleflex brand, some were unknown manufacturer. All appear to be in serviceable condition. Helm/Flybridge appeared in good condition. Rubrail in fair condition. Nylon with stainless steel insert. General dings expected from a vessel of its age. Swim ladder in good condition, Telescopic stainless steel ladder at the swim platform is serviceable. Swim platform in good condition. Platform is well secured and serviceable. Some fasteners are corroded. Trim tabs, Bennett hydraulic, appeared in good condition, not tested but powered up. Upholstery, exterior, in poor condition.
