Extremely Rare 1968 Century Resorter 15 ½ ‘ mahogany ski boat. 15 of these boats were made in 1968, very few still exist. The 289 cu. in. Ford Interceptor shows fewer than 700 hours since it was rebuilt in 1983. The boat originally went into service on Owasco lake at Auburn NY. I bought the boat in the spring of 1997, had it restored and moved it to Ginger Cove lake in Nebraska – where it has been in continuous seasonal use since that time. In 1997, a radar gun clocked a maximum speed of 47 mph. Boat is always winterized and garage stored in off season. In season, the boat has been kept on a covered lift. Engine runs perfectly on high octane ethanol free fuel (with lead substitute added). The transmission, shaft, propeller, lights (stern light is burned out), horn, instruments and rudder all perform flawlessly. Even the cigarette lighter works. Fuel pump, water pump and bilge pump have been replaced in recent years. Starter was rebuilt within the last 5 seasons and the boat has a two year old battery. The hull needs to be refinished and a few of the hull planks should be replaced – there have been occasional soft spots over the years which I hardened with epoxy. The original upholstery has worn in a couple of spots and there is one small tear. The stringers are solid and the bottom is good – recently re-caulked with 3M 5200. Included is a 1968 vintage trailer (no title). The tires are 20 years old and should be replaced. The lights and reflectors need some work to be road ready, The trailer itself seems to be structurally sound.
