Say Hello to "MISSY""Missy" has been our family boat for the last 4 years. She is a 2007 model Maxum 18MX. This is an 18 ft Open Bowrider sports boat that can seat 8 Comfortably. It runs a Mercruiser 3.0ltr petrol engine (135 hp). These engines are reliable and good on fuel too. With plenty of power for watersports, we have added the wakeboard tower. She sits on a Bunk trailer which makes it easier to get back on the trailer in shallower waters. The trailer has a flush kit fitted for cleaning the wheels internally to avoid brake seizeWe are only sellng as we co-own the boat with another family and between us we have outgrown her. We will be sad to see her go.She is currently in ABERSOCH (North Wales) as this is where we keep and use her. Viewings would have to be by arrangement. She can be seen running there.GOOD STUFF:Missy is great on fuel, plenty fast enough for most (tops out at about 45mph on a calm day), pulls great for Wakeboarders, towable toys, and waterskiers. Plenty of room for up to 8 people. A great first boat as they are very stable in the water having a wide hull profile. Lots of under seat storage for all your gear. Very nicely finished. TECH STUFF:Over the last few years we have maintained her by replacing any parts that were getting worn. She had a brand new battery last season, which is still in great working condition, also a new starter motor. We fitted a new Alternator at the end of last season too to make sure the battery is kept fully charged, and we had the carburettor removed and cleaned for clean, sweet running. Boat also comes with a spare 4 blade propeller (Running a three blade at the moment)BAD STUFF:Nothing to worry about here. But there are a few little bits that could do with sorting out. The wakeboard tower bolts in one particular place could do with removing and re drilling as it is pulling out a little, The Blower motor (Which is a small inexpensive fan) needs replacing, and a couple of the gauges on the dash are not working properly. All the main dials work (speedo, rev counter etc). The Blower is just a safety tool which you turn on now and again to get rid of fumes, but you can simply open the engine bay when you stopSo, really it is just a few small niggles. The Boat is ready to use as is, but if you want it perfect these are the little bits that need attentionCONDITION: The boat in general is in very good condition, engine is in good working order, All mouldings are in great condition. Some sections of seat have peeled a little and there is a small rip in the drivers seat, but they are small things. Tower is solid but just wants that little bit of attention to sure it upAll in all Missy has been a great boat for us, and I hope to have covered everything in the advert, but if you need more info please get in touch.
