Description

Make: south coast

Now is your chance to get a real ready-to-sail 22' boat for $2350. the boat is located in Toledo Ohio, please contact me through ebay to see the boat prior to making an offer or BIN. I've tried to describe and photograph all of the good and needs-work items, so you see what you get. this is a so called swing keel trailer sailor, it can trailer launch at any free public boat launch and you will not need a marina, all the joy of sailing, less monthly bills. Clean title in my name, the trailer will need to be weighed to get plates, i will provide bill of sale. Current registration good till 3/2018, take it out today! The boat is a 1974, fiberglass southcoast seacraft 22. It can sleep 4-5 people, has a water flushing potty, a kitchen area and a folding table. The trailer is rusty, but it pulls very well with my jeep and has greaseable wheel bearings and new lights that all work. the trailer only needs backed into the rear wheels of the car to load and unload it on a typical ramp, no special equipment is needed. The boat engine is a 1974 Johnson 9.9hp long shaft outboard. Dacron is the material the sails are made from and the stainless steel standing rigging is in working order. I've seen two sewn on repairs on the main sail. The rope running rigging and hardware is complete and working, I can show how to rig it, for me it takes about 40 minutes from pulling in to floating, that is including raising the mast and putting the outboard on. Details belowThis guy has everything on the required boat safety list for a 22' power boat.
4 adults and 1 kid Stearns USCG life jacket, two throwables. All bought this year and used very little. Each jacket has a whistle and a knife.
Electric 500 lumen SOS light and 3' distress flag
First aid kit, two mylar blankets, bug bite cream, all new unused
1x yellow rain jacket/cold water suit.
1 new B1 marine fire extinguisher
1 new canned air horn.
18 pound anchor with 14' of painted galvanized chain. The hasps are safety wire'd and the tri fiber nylon rope is 50' long.
2 new dock bumpers
has a aluminum and wood swim ladder and an oar, both are workable but show age.The inside of the boat has been wire brushed and given a fresh coat of topside paint inside the cabin, looks light and airy. About 3/4 quart left over for touch ups.
The port side window has been resealed
The port and starboard green and red navigation lights have bright LED bulbs
There is a stern light and a masthead light, but the masthead light needs a new bulb
The boat has been rewired with a sweet looking LED 6 circuit breaker panel
There is a ray Jefferson depth finder and transducer
There is a VHF marine radio. It needs a new 32" whip I taped the one on there.
there is a ~2.5" diameter globe compass with a cracked cover.
The ~4" knotmeter has been refinished and works well
The battery terminals are new epoxy coated marine one, the battery is an optima red-top from 2005 that still works great.
All of the cushions have been vinyl dyed to a gray color, they look fantastic.
The handle bars over the cabin have been refinished with spar urethane, and new SS hardware. There is almost a full quart of spar urethane left over.
All fittings I've worked on have been given chamfered edges and rebeded, the safety railing and standing rigging fittings need rebedded.
I've refinished the pop-up cabin top, it looks amazing.
There is a 1100GPH bilge pump, not that its needed, but gave me peace of mind. There is no bilge so it lays on the floor when out.
There is a butane cooktop, new with a full butane tank.
there is an extra bag of sails and i think that its a spinnaker sail for going downwind and there is a extendable whisker pole for it that is made of out PVC.
the iron keel is 500lbs, and swings down to a 5' draft to keep the boat from heeling too much is strong wind. the draft is 18" with the keel up. The keel has a hand-powered winch, with a brake, inside the boat to lift and lower it, the stainless cable is in good shape. The keel is a item that needs maintenance to keep it from rusting.Onto the engine it is an electric start with a generator that will charge the battery. it has more than 150 PSI compression on both cylinders, will test in front of you if you want and/or run engine on the stand for you if you want
New autolite spark plugs.
New water pump impeller kit installed this year.
Lower lube changed this year.
New 6 gallon atwood fuel tank and fuel demand valve. Has 4 gallons of non-ethonol fuel in it. Have about ¾ gallon of two cycle oil too.
New OMC fuel connectors, priming bulb and tubing. the OMC connectors needs to be zip tied to the tank so it does not pop-off from the vapor pressure build up, or it could be changed to a better design.
The engines internal fuel lines are all replaced.
Ear-muff engine flush clamp
I have a carb rebuild kit, i bought it as a precaution but it was not needed so i did not put in on, good to have in the spares box.
I checked the points and they are .020" exactly, tuned perfect.
The START button needs a new water-proof cap, still works though.
