1996 See Doo Sportster with Trailer I bought this boat from a Friend that bought it new ,They were having problemswith it not having any power ,He replaced the impeller with a solas impeller andsomething inside the jet ,This did not fix the problem so he purchased a new one,and I purchased this one from him .I sent it to the shop and they did major work to the engine and I believe they also replaced the carburetors (I have an extra set and don't remember where they came from)The boat ran fine ,and I only ran it one season .I put it in my shop and pulled it out earlier this year to ,get it running ,After sitting for almost two years I had a tough time getting it started .Once it finally did start ,raw oil came from the exhaust for about a minute .It has been starting and running fine since ,Just full discloser ,there may be a seal going bad .Again it has been starting and running for about a month with no issues .(UPDATE) today is may the 30th,The boat has been sitting for about 30 days without being cranked ,I went yesterday to start it ,It started right up with a small amount of choke and ran clean ,No oil ,Usual amount of smoke (two stroke stuff) ,I don't know why it had oil come out during the first start ,but it had been sitting for right at two years ,an oil tank cut off valve would be the trick for long term storage !Other (known) issues ,The bottom of the seats have been recovered ,The tops are starting to dry rot ,one has a hole forming (see pic) ,and the front seat is getting wonkyOne of the tires on the trailer is bad ,I will go to tractor supply and grab a couple of trailer tires to replace them ,so they will be new ,The trailer has a 2 inch ball and is great other than the tireI don't believe the fuel gauge has worked since ive gotten it .There is a reserve tank so you should never run out .There are a couple of small knicks in the gel coat ,also some stress cracks along the rear deck (see pic) Nothing major at all ,again just full discloser I live in Alabama so there is NO title on the boat or trailer ,I will help with any paperwork you need on getting one if your in a title state All in all it is a really nice boat ,it just needs a small amount of work to be perfect again ,I Originally got the boat because I love having only one engine .(edit)Its a 700 size engine I believe and plenty fast 35 Plus MPH and can pull towables no problem .I do not have a bimini or anything else to go with the boat .and it is sold fully AS IS If I missed anything please let me know ,300 dollar NON REFUNDABLE deposit required ,Ill work with the buyer anyway I can on Transportation ,Payment Options ,anything I can help with ,Just let me know!
