Driver 500 16ft Speed Boat with 90HP Mercury Outboard MotorWelcome to the listing for my fathers speed boat. We purchased the boat around 18 Years ago and have only used it on the odd occasion during the summer for family outings. This is a very fast boat, with amazing handling on the water, I believe these hulls were originally designed for racing, they handle brilliantly on the water. It takes 4 people comfortably and has been perfectly reliable throughout its life. We have now moved on to a larger boat to fit even more grandchildren in!!
BoatDriver 500 - 16ft - Blue and White - Unknown YearThe boat has a fair amount of wear and tear to both the inside and the outside but is still in usable condition. The interior could do with a refurb, but this doesn't take away from the fun!The exterior has all the usual marks/ scratches.With this engine, the boat does approximately 50MPH on the water.The boat had a new battery fitted last summer. It has also got a bilge pump.The original inboard fuel tank has been removed, it now has two plastic fuel tanks included in the sale.It has the original Tourney cover, which is old but still does the job!EngineMercury 90HP 2 Stroke.We purchased this engine brand new in 2000. It is dated March 2000 on the engine plate. It has not been altered or modified in any way. Starts and Runs - We can demonstrate this at time of purchase.The engine is in excellent condition, always flushed through with fresh water after use. Regularly maintained throughout its life. It has electric trim/ tilt which works perfectly. Pumps plenty of water. Steering works well and was new when we purchased the engine. The engine mixes its own 2 stroke oil, so no need to premix!The engine has not been used much, the boat was only ever used once or twice a year so the hours would be very low. It still has the original propeller. It has a stainless steel plate on the transom to hold the engine.TrailerWe purchased a brand new trailer in 2015 as the old one had seen better days!It cost around £1800. It is a Indespension Roller Coaster trailer with the optional Hub Flushing System - just connect a hose and it cleans the hubs for you.This trailer tows excellently and has a spare wheel. Tyres are virtually new as the trailer has only been towed a couple of times.Overall this is a great boat, ready to go for the summer.
