For sale is a beautiful Catalina 30 sailboat. The boat is located in Milford, CT at the local marina ( Milford Harbor Marina at 2 High St, Milford, CT 06460, USA). The boat was meant to introduce myself into sailing and unfortunately my plans changed, therefor the boat is for sale. I never sailed before, nor do I have any knowledge of boats, so I may not be the best person to provide expert advice, but please call me at 343-882-7733 if you have any questions or need more information. This is also the reason I am listing it "as is". It does not mean that there is anything wrong with the boat, I just don't know. To me the boat looks great - as I was walking on it, did not feel any weak spots. They say those days (back in 80-s) they did build them solid. It does not appear to be patched or fixed, which tells me it was never been in any kind of collision or accident. Yes, it is older one and some work needs to be done on it (like windows are leaking), but in my opinion it can be easily restored and enjoyed for many more years. I was told that it was last used in 2015 and the engine was running (it is equipped with inboard Universal Atomic 4). There is some rust on it, but again - these are older engines and were built to last ages.
The best way is to visit the boat and check for yourself. Or you may contact the marina (very nice people work there) and ask them if they can inspect it for You. Please call me in advance and I will provide the key combination to get inside the boat.
There is no reserve price - the highest bidder will get that beauty. I find it fair.
It is the buyer's responsibility to either remove the boat from the Marina or arrange for a storage. Currently the storage is paid till 1st of July, but I do believe the current contract is not transferable (please check with the Marina).
I did visit the boat and removed cushions (they are really old and ripped, so I do not think they can be used). I also removed counter and 2 shelves. Have them in my garage in Ottawa, Canada. If you want them back, I can ship them to you after the auction is over, but will need you to cover shipping costs (or you are welcome to pick them up locally). The two sinks in the counter leak and need to be replaced (I still have them, but only to use as a sample to buy new ones). Can send you more pictures of counter and cushions if you want. No sails or stove come with the boat and the rest (to the best of my knowledge) is in place. Once again - if you are in the area, please come and check the boat for yourself. I have manuals for the boat and for the engine. Will ship them on my own expense to the new owner.
Thank you for checking my listing and good luck with the bids. Hope my boat gets a new owner who will take good care for her. Hate letting her go, but circumstances do not allow me to keep her.
I am requesting a $500 deposit right after the end of the auction and this will not be refunded if you change your mind later, so please make sure You are ready to take full ownership of the boat prior to bidding on her.P.S: The cradle does not belong to me, but the Marina offered me to buy it for $200 US (which is amazing price). Do not see why they wouldn't sell it to the new owner for the same price. If you need a cradle. But please confirm with the Marina. Their number is
