Royal Australian Navy 33ft Cruiser."Cerberus "was built by Swiftcraft in Melbourne for the Australian Navy of solid fibreglass with reinforced bulkheads & superstructure.She still has her hooks built into her hull for lifting out by mothership.She is powered by 2 x Turbo 6354 (6 cylinder)Perkins diesels with Borg Warner 72cr Velvet Drive gearboxes and twin Walter V Drives. Both start & run beautifully and she can be driven. Twin s/s fuel tanks are forward.Not sure of capacity but they are in good condition.Cerberus is not pretty but its all cosmetic and she DOES NOT LEAK at all, However she does have auto bilge pumps with solar panel anyway and to keep batteries charged for starting.She is checked & started on a regular basis.She is located in Berowra Sydney and is well known & loved by the locals and has been in the area for some years.She used to travel to Sydney Harbour on Australia Day trailing the flag behind her.."NOW" I will list some of the good points that others don't have.(1) COMES WITH MOORING!.Less than a year old and long reg.(cheap yearly reg)(2)4x NEW BATTERIES.(3)2x NEW STARTERS.(4)NEW FLOORS.(5)BOAT IS REGISTERED (oct)(6)PERFECT RUNNING ENGINES (port eng 1002hrs)(stbd eng 1249hrs) 140SHP EACH..(7)DRIVABLE.(8)DOES NOT LEAK.(no cracks or hull damage)(9)VERY CLOSE TO SLIPWAY (150metres aprox)AND RAMP(200 metres aprox).(10)BUILT FOR THE NAVY..so everything is super strong.(11)THICK FIBREGLASS.(12)ORIGINAL NAVY SERVICE MANUALS.(13)COMES WITH A FEW BITS & PIECES.(transom platform,radio,lights,etc)"OK"..NOW FOR THINGS THAT COULD BE SORTED.(easy for handyman)(or ladys)(1)SLIP & PAINT.(but close by & not urgent)(2)SPONSONS ON LOWER OUTSIDE OF HULL NEED REPLACING."BUT" THEY ARE MADE OF TIMBER & EASILY REPLACED WITH RUBBER ONES..(SCREW OFF & ON JOB)(3)CAB NEEDS A REMODEL.SHE IS A BLANK CANVAS,AS PER SHE WAS IN NAVY DAYS.SHE HAS 6FT HEADROOM!.(4)A FEW "FIDLY BITS" TO DO...NOTHING A HANDYMAN COULDNT DO.MORE ON THE OLD GIRL...I bought her more than 2 years ago and have done a lot of work on her-getting her engines running sweet-replace floors-painting bits & pieces-batteries-electrical & so on."however"arthritis has got the better of me so she needs to go to a good home."Cerberus" Navy hull number is 3316 and still on her rear.She was called a "fast utility boat" by the Navy.Yes she is quick & very manoeuvrable..I had seen one of these boats identical to mine for sale for 35000! and it had been gutted.engines out on its belly on dry land.no reg.And I don't want anything like that!..You wont find a boat as stong as this one.
