17ft. OMC / Javeline Bass Boat with 115 Evinrude and galvanized magic tilt trailer. This boat is ready to fish and runs great as it is, however a little TLC would make it better.
This boat will push 45 mph to 55 mph depending on how much gear is in the boat. The boat is registered in my name. I have the title and a bill of sale, but a double transfer will have to be done on the trailer itself (approx $76.00 fee from notary). In Louisiana we only have the trailer titled. The boat is simply registered in the owner's name. The buyer will assume all title transfer fees at a local notary. It is not perfect, as it is a 1996 model, but I've been very pleased with its reliability.
This boat is not in perfect condition, however it works just fine as is. There are no major issues with the motor. The lower unit is also sealed and has no water in it.I've taken this boat out into the Atchafalaya River many times during the last year. I feel very confident in the boat and the motor. The only time it left me stranded was when I ran it out of gas after just rebuilding the carbs--long story there! With all that being said, this boat is being sold AS-IS. LOCAL pickup only. I will only accept checks or money orders. The winner bidder will have 7 business days to pay in full. The money order / check will clear before I release the boat and trailer. I understand that some bidders may be out of state and that most people work, so I would be willing to keep the boat under my carport for 45 days. When picking up the boat, please remember to buy a spare for your trip back. You may also wish to check the bearings on the boat trailer. I have no reason to suspect that they are bad. They aren't making any noises, but I would like for the boat and trailer to make it safely back to your place.I've tried to disclose everything that I am aware of about this boat. I really don't want to sale it, but I have a newborn (6 months) and we could use the extra money.I will not ship this boat.
Recent maintenance done / pros:
Rebuilt all four carbs
Replaced impeller and water pump components
Replaced steering mechanism
Battery less than a year old
Lower unit oil replaced
Stainless prop and extra stainless prop for spare.
Service manual
NO LEAKSBilge pump worksRunning lights work, but are hard-wired from the batteryNeeds / cons:
Shift linkage adjustment - neutral isn't exactly in the center--when using the throttleNeeds panel rewired - only the RPM gauge works
Minor scratches--a more visible small chip, as shown in the photo --near the registration stickerEnlarged the hole that the steering cable is routed through ---see photo--had to do that when I replaced the steering assemblyVery small carburetor leak--I think that I overtightened the bowl upon reassembly---after I rebuilt them---regardless, it didn't bother me enough to warrant taking it back apart---it starts and runs just fine---it's not dripping--just if you take the cowling off, one of the carbs looks wet on the outside---this could also be a fuel line needing to be replaced--I dunno for sure, but I do know that it doesn't seem to impact the performance of the boat. Fishfinder needs to be replacedLive wells aren't working I may update this post, as I get questions. Feel free to contact me. Thank you for bidding.
