Kalik 40 for sale "Alb"a Kalik 40 built in 1982 has 2 circumnavigations under her belt. I have owned Alb for the past 5 years and have spent that time getting her ready for her next adventure. I have to face facts and most of my sailing is short handed if not single handed and this boat is too big for me to single hand. The basic layout is a v berth forward then coming aft she has heads to port and a hanging locker to starboard. Coming back into the main cabin you have a L shaped berth to port and a straight berth on starboard side. Then the galley is on the port and the chart table to starboard. After you have a aft cabin to port and the aft heads to starboard. The forward head is electric and has a holding tank and the aft heads is manual and doesn't have a holding tank. The boat is equipped with in mast reefing by euro spars the main is made by sanders sails and in good condition The genoa is a hood vectron and is in good condition. Both being valeted this year and the sacrificial strips replaced. The mast has folding steps on it There is a profurl roller reefing fitted. There is also a cruising chute in a snuffer There is a Lofrans tigress windlass fitted on the deck 2 lewmar 48 self tailing winches 2 Barlow 24 self tailing winches 1 lewmar 30 self tailing winch 2 lewmar 16 self tailing winches under the sprayhood And 1 Barlow 19 and a harken 40 both self tailing winches at the mast The list of the work and equipment that has been replaced in my ownership is Teak decks replace with wilks deck king synthetic teak. All the cleats where replaced with stainless ones and the 2 dorade boxes where replaced at the same time. Engine replaced with a new Beta 38hp only done 60 hours. Upgraded to the 70amp alternator Centreflex shaft coupling. Stern gland replaced last year with a PSS dripless one Fuel filter replaced with a racor screw on one. Fuel lines replaced and fuel tank opened and cleaned. Lewmar engine controls fitted to the pedestal ELECTRONICS Garmin 720 radar chart plotter (at nav station) Garmin 550 chart plotter in a scanstrut navipod at the helm Garmin depth Gmi 10 display Garmin log Gmi 10 display Garmin wind speed and direction Gmi 10display Raymarine autopilot P70 display SPX10 Smartpilot and a type 1 linear drive. Garmin AIS 300 All the electronics and networked via nmea 2000 and you and read any of the instruments on any either display except the radar that's only available at the nav station. NASA Navtex NASA weatherman weather station. Standard horizon explorer VHF with a second station microphone fitted in the cockpit. New vhf Ariel installed last year. Charging 2x 60w solar panels mounted on a custom made stainless steel arch. Sterling Pro charge ultra 40 amp charger with the remote control Sterling alternator to battery charger 80 amp with remote control Rutland 1200 wind generator fitted with the remote control. Domestic batteries 2 x 220 amp AGM batteries. Replaced march this year. Engine start batteries 2x70 amp replaced last year Other stuff I have fitted in no particular order Bainbridge 3 burner cooker Jabsco manual toilet in the aft heads. Headlining replaced and fitted with new led lights NASA gas alarm Bilge alarm 2 Johnson bilge pumps Hot water tank Led tri colour and anchor light. Steering cables and chain replaced Acr epirb Berth cushions replaced. New sprayhood and cockpit tent in 4/17 Sails valeted and sacrificial strips replaced 4/17Spray dodgers and window covers 4/17 Fresh water pump replaced All fresh water pipes replaced All bilge pump pipes replaced All the running rigging has been replaced Glomax tv Ariel fitted to the top of the mast. Stuff that was already on the boat Isotherm magnum asu fridge. Microwave. Hydrovane selfsteering. Kenwood Single side band radio. Sgc auto tuner SCS pactor modem Inmarsat Sat C terminal Garmin gps 120. 1500w inverter.Before you make and silly offers please consider I paid £15k for the decks and engine in the last 3 years and this year alone I have spent £2.5k on covers and batteries. There is lots I have probably forgotten so any questions please ask.The boat does need some work to be completely finished again ask and I'll let you know.
