1989 Hunter 30 This is a freshwater boat that has been fitted out for living aboard, or comfortable weekending. In the aft cabin; the berth has been rebuilt with new wood and increased storage access. A very comfortable, custom built and fitted 100% latex mattress installed. A full beam teak dresser was built in, and a large hanging rod was added. An extension was added to the V-berth and the mattress was replaced with memory foam. All berths are lined with dri-deck beneath the mattresses for breathability. A fresh water inlet was added that bypasses the holding tank and pump. A triple filtered drinking tap was added. The boat has sat for the past few years with little use and is in need of some upkeep and care. Currently the engine is not running, likely due to condensation in the fuel. I suspected something stuck in the HP fuel pump and started to pull it to have it rebuilt but have not found anyone to rebuild it so am selling as-is. The sails are about 10 years old or so now but are still in working order. The UV cover on the head sail needs new stitching. The standing rigging is in good condition with no defects or issues but the running rigging is due for replacement. The deck has a ¼” hole in the gelcoat near the cockpit from a screw pulling out. The hull is still sound, with no delamination or soft spots but does have many blisters (~6/sq.ft. & .5”-2”each). There is also a slight depression in the hull under the head about 1.5’x4’x2” from sitting on a jack stand. A surveyor did inspect it and found the fiberglass to still be solid with no delamination. I also have a letter from Hunter confirming they are aware of this area flexing but that it is not known to result in delamination. The boat is being sold as-is with these conditions.
