Rib is probably an early 5m tornado. It is a relatively narrow, easily driven boat with a V hull giving a comfortable ride without slamming. The hull appears to be in good condition despite its age as it has been well looked after. The tubes are adequate, but lose air after a while. The engine is an Evenrude 70HP 2 stroke - a nice simple engine with no computers and the minimum of complexity. The engine runs well, pumps water fine and goes really well. Stainless prop.The boat is fitted with compass, volt meter, twin internal stainless tanks (not currently plumbed in, but seem fine) fire extinguisher, anchor etc.Please come and have a look. Could be demonstrated on the Menai Straits if really interested. Photo on the water was taken today (7th May) after playing with a wakeboard behind the rib.The boat was bought to support both my son and the scouts sailing, but my son has moved on to kayaks and sailing with the scouts died in the paperwork, so RIB has done very little since I have had it.
