This is a sad sale of our beloved 2005 Searay 185 Sport Bowrider. This is a fantastic example of a family/day boat as it is so universal. We have mainly used it for Skiing but we have also done numerous trips around lakes & rivers with friends & family. We have owned the boat for 3 years & have only used it in fresh water. It was previously used in the sea as it still has its anti-foul spray on the hull. It has not wanted for anything & has had a full service each year with various parts changed (see list below).
The boat has loads of storage under the floor & under the seats in the bow & stern. It is rated for 7 people plus gear. It has an anchor locker at the bow complete with anchor & rope. It has a brand new stereo system with aux cable which i fitted last year along with a brand new Ray Marine GPS & Fish finder. This was put in in anticipation of us going to the south of france but a new house purchase has stopped this idea. The boat strarts every time without problem. It runs on petrol with it being a lot more economical than you'd expect. A full day on the water will use around 3/4 of a tank which costs about £55 to fill. It is a 220hp engine with incredibly low hours. As of feb this year it only had 125 hours (see attached run report). It has snap on black covers & is stored out the water or under cover at all times. The trailer is a galvanised, braked trailer with great bearings & tyres. We have done loads of towing without any issues. At the back, you have the swim deck & stainless ladders. The stern leg is in good order & has a 5 blade stainless prop. Great for getting a skier out & also for cruising.The driver & passenger seats are swivel seats which make it a lot more sociable when stationary. The original carpets have gotten lost so i replaced with some off another boat - while they don't fit perfectly they are more than adequate. Everything works as it should.The bad bits...
The boat has a few scratches on the gel coat & some of the decals are scraped. This is mainly from getting on/off trailer & mooring up to jetty.There is a small hole in the leather on the sunbed at the back. we bought it like this & just put some white tape over it as a temporary fix.
Over the last 3 years it has had the following replaced.
