I am selling my 1998 Baja 180 islander with trailer. It has a 5.0L Mercruiser V8 engine with an Alpha 1 outdrive, a Fresh Water Cooling System and thru-the-hull exhaust. The boat has a top speed of 58 MPH with the Baja's signature deep V hull design. The engine is strong and the hull and floor are in good condition. The hull has never been bottom painted. Accessories: · New Mercruiser Shift Control unit (July 2016) · New Trim/Tab motor (July 2016) · New Battery (July 2016) · Bilge Pump works · Tachometer works · Oil Pressure gauge works · Temperature gauge works · Amp meter works (limited readings) · Gas Gauge works (somewhat unreliable) · Speedometer not working · Depth gauge not working · Thru-the-hull exhaust solenoids not working – They are currently hardwired open (LOUD). They can easily be closed. NOTE: some states (ex. NJ & PA) do not allow thru-the-hull exhaust on lakes. I am the second owner and have had the boat for 7 years. 1998 is the last year that Baja made an 18ft boat. There was a small fire in the engine compartment in 2015 that was caused by a clogged raw water exhaust manifold - all of the affected components have been replaced or repaired. Comparable 1990-1998 18ft Bajas sell for approximately $6,500 – I have reduced the price to reflect the condition of the upholstery (threads in seams deteriorating, I hand sew them when they split) and the non-working components mentioned above.
