Tomcat, a custom design by Ken Bassett, was built in 2014. It was a joint effort between Armstrong Boatworks ( Hamilton Armstrong) and Pine Cone Boatworks (David Strobino). The Hull was constructed of cold molded wood over laminated ring frames. This type of construction results in a lightweight hull with superior strength . The solid mahogany deck was laid out in traditional fashion over a cold molded sub deck .
