Here I have an ideal project boat for the family well that is what I thought until I realised my ambitions outweighed my knowledge on boat engines.Purchased recently I set about the task of bringing the old girl back to her former glory. New Battery, new fuel tanks, near mint seats and bases out of a Haines 445r. I repaired control box and replaced ignition switch and had the old girl turning over but no spark. My friend who is a mechanic suggested you replace the ignition system there is plenty compression and all will be fine.So 400 bucks later I did this (purchased new from Ebay in the US) and the old girl fired and ran for 30 seconds before the new CDI ignition decided it would deliver its last breath. I am now in talks with the manufacturer of the unit to determine whether this is a warranty claim or perhaps my lack of mechanic knowledge led to this failure?Wife has said NO MORE!!!!!!!One bid will buy this boat. If I can assist I will continue to see if I can get the CDI replaced under warranty but given the costs of freight may be best to just repair is OZ?I can be contacted on 0423 021 850 and I am located in Hoppers Crossing. Happy BiddingBrett
