1998 Gibson House Boat 5500 .. Very Nice Boat! Low Hours! Ready for Fun!!! This 1998 Gibson 5500 Series House Boat is one of the finest examples of the Gibson Brand you will see in the Nation. We are the second owner of this nice vessel. We have all the books, documentation, copy of original title and all service records. This nice vessel comes equipped with Twin Crusaders engines with only 285 hours along with a Westebeke generator that only has 350 hours. All Driveline items have been fully serviced and will need absolutely nothing done!!!
Several years ago Washington Marine pulled the boat and did a complete sanding, prepping and recoating of the bottom paint along with water moister testing of the entire boat, . Due to a few soft spots on the front bow we totally replaced (new wood),fiber glassed then new gel coat along with redoing the front cowl and seating area in front of the captains window....
The entire boat from front to back was polished, restriped and looks like new. There are no soft spots, no leaks and has all new upholstery along with new interior furniture. It has 3 Ac units that keep the boat extremely cool on those hot summer days.
This Gibson is equipped with an Upper and Lower Helm, Gazebo style seating upstairs, large seating area on the bow and stern of the boat. On the lower decking is very nice seating arrangement that was added for a relaxing and comfortable view of the river!!!
The interior comes with all the amenities including a large entertaining area, full kitchen, two bathrooms (one has a full shower, bathtub, etc.), master suite, lower suite, washer & dryer and the list goes on.There has been no Expense not spent on this vessel. It was not our intent to sell this very nice Houseboat!! We have all receipts and service records for this vessel. You will not need to spend a single dime on this Gibson. I have just spoke to the new Owner of Gibson. They are super nice and very excited to bring the Gibson name back to there home base in South Dakota.
We can go on & on about this nice Houseboat. I regretfully have to sell this nice Gibson and have priced well under the market for a quick sale.
