Up for sale is this fantastic Avon 340 RIB, fitted with a 2012 20hp Tohatsu 4 stroke, electric start, power tilt outboard. It is a fantastic package, can be launched single handed and easily fits in a standard garage! Starting from the bow the boat is fitted with a forward anchor locker, also providing ample space for the included foot pump. It also doubles up as a safe and comfortable extra seat. The tubes are split into 3 compartments, and are in excellent condition, holding air perfectly. There is a small professional repair on the bow, which you can see in one of the pictures. It was done by the previous owner just to be on the safe side, after he caught something on it in his garage. There are grab lines fitted on both sides, making it very simple for both adults and children to climb aboard or hold on. The GRP hull is also in superb order, with the original gel and never been anti-fouled. The 4 stroke outboard is in excellent condition, and was serviced in November 2016. It's only ever been used a handful of times each summer, and garaged the rest of the time. A new isolator has just been fitted. The engine was not commissioned until 2013, and I have the original paperwork and bill of sale to prove it. Previously the boat was used as a yacht tender with a 4hp outboard, and so has had an easy life. The engine has always been flushed after use with fresh water, and has been fitted with an outboard lock.Finally, the boat sits on a fully galvanised (over-painted white), bunked trailer with winch and new jockey wheel. The hubs used to be non standard, and 6 months ago the axle was removed, new standard sized stubs, hubs and bearings fitted to make life easier. Since then the trailer has been used for a maximum of 10 miles, as the slipway is 2 minutes down the road. The carpet on the bunks has been replaced, and now looks excellent. All in all a very good package, which has never been left on the water or abused. It is the perfect size for a small family, especially as it fits effortlessly inside a standard garage. Viewings and Sea trials can be arranged for serious buyers, but sea trials will be subject to a £50 payment refundable on purchase. Local delivery is also available, but to be discussed before purchase.Selling on behalf of a friend who has now emigrated, viewings are recommended, and ultimately will be sold as seen.
