Here for sale is our beloved 18.8' 1970’s Sloop Rigged Mirror Offshore Mk1 sailor/trailer, Valdi... This was our first sailing boat which we've had for 4 years, and sailed extensively in the Solent, IOW and West Country, but have upsized so she needs to go to a new home...she’s the perfect boat to learn sailing and exploring in... Upgrades to Valdi include; · Fully rewired c/w new fuse panel and leisure battery. (2013) · Mast top Tricolour, Windex, Radar Reflector and Shore power. · LED lights in the cabin, toilet and cockpit. · Full set of sails – main and furling jib. (2012) · Fenders / mooring lines / boat hook / Spray dodgers. · Manual bilge pump. (serviced 2014) · Anchor, chain and warp / Safety throw line / Small flare kit (expired) / First Aid kit / Smoke detector. · 2 x Life jackets. (old but serviceable) Tiller steered with a transom hung rudder and an adjustable Auxiliary outboard bracket is fitted. / The galley has a single burner gimballed hob and a sink with pumped fresh water (via bottle). / Heads... A Johnson 4HP 2 stroke long shaft outboard with 20l fuel tank is included. This was running last season but I tried it last weekend but it wouldn’t start...the yard mechanic thinks its possibly a coil but this cannot be guaranteed...I don’t have the time to look into this now so consider it as non-running...I think it’ll be an easy fix for someone with the know how... I was going to refurbish the trailer (original but serviceable) this spring but again, I don’t have the time now so this is sold as seen...it needs stripping/sanding, painting and new bearings fitted (bearings supplied as I’d already purchased these)...i've only used it as a yard trailer... She needs bringing out of the water and given a scrub and clean, the antifouling redone and the boot topper touching up (paint supplied) with maybe a lick of varnish...She’s currently on a swing mooring off Quay Lane, Gosport, and the winning bidder may be able to obtain another mooring upon enquiry... Valdi is a well used but looked after boat and NOT NEW. As with all boats, maintenance is ongoing. Valdi is “sold as seen” and no warranty is offered and no returns are accepted... MUST BE REMOVED BY Sunday 16th April 2017...beyond this date, the winning bidder becomes responsible for any mooring or storage fees...
