Traditional River Day Boat. With a little work this could become the perfect Gentleman’s Launch. Beautiful slender lines, carvel construction with copper clench nails, thought to be originally built of teak on oak frames. Now sheathed in fibreglass. The history of the vessel is unknown, but it is likely to be at least sixty years old, possibly considerably more… It comes with a propeller on a shaft which runs freely through a conventional stuffing box. The original engine (possibly a steam engine) is long gone, but could be replaced by a light weight diesel or electric motor. Some of the original frames have broken these can be repaired by doubling with new timber, but with the fibreglass sheath providing the strength this might not be necessary. The new buyer will have to provide their own transport for the vessel
