Inventory # 10034 Location: Tarpon Springs, FL General Description: This 1991 48' Seamaster 48 Trawler was partially submerged during Hurricane Matthew. Hull is in fair condition for age with no notable damage above the water line. The keel is cracked around each of the blocks that vessel is resting on. There is cracking in the hull around both struts. There are some blisters on the hull bottom that have dried out or are weeping. There is notable marine growth on the thru-hull fittings. Topsides is in fair condition for vessel's age. The forward and aft staterooms are lower than the salon and galley. There are waterlines in the forward and aft staterooms showing water rose about 6” over the floor. There was a water line in the engine room noted just over the generator battery at approximately 18" deep. Intercom system works, lighting works except for forward cabin circuit. Engine room vents work. Davit was not tested. Not all equipment could be tested as no power to vessel at time of inspection. Other: AC: MarineAir in fair condition. Forward unit powered on. Mid and aft units did not operate but there is no indication of a failure. Most likely it is because only one shore cord was present. Carpet, exterior, in good condition Gauges and controls in fair condition, unknown brand, did not test as no keys at helm Flybridge in good condition for age. Flybridge has built in refrigerator. Rubrail in fair condition for age. Some scratches and wear noted. Swim ladder in fair condition, serviceable, lock pin was stuck in ladder Swim platform in fair condition for age, noticeable erosion of wood in platform as seen from underside. Not soft spots found. Transom door works Transom shower in poor condition, shower head missing. Trim tabs appear in fair condition. Could not find pump but there is no reason to presume they are broken. Upholstery, exterior, in good condition for age Washdown: fresh water, in good condition, operates via switch. Washdown: raw water, in good condition, not found, operates via switch Water heater, Raritan, in good condition, operates via switch Windscreen and windshield in fair condition for age. Other windows: Leak and water damage to wood noted on starboard main cabin window and port windshield window. 1990 Dyer Jon Boat Dinghy included. Dinghy is fiberglass and in fair condition for age. Engines: Twin Caterpillar 3208 diesel engines. Engines submerged. Engines were drained and refilled with new oil. Filters were replaced. The engines were started briefly and then oil was changed again. Then engines restarted briefly. Although engines were restarted, they are not in turn key condition. Port hours: 892.5; starboard hours: 893.2. The props are both bent.
Transmission: Caterpillar transmission submerged, not tested, condition unknown. Oil was changed twice in transmissions and oil still remains milky.
Generator / Battery: Onan Generator is in poor condition, gages missing, no water in oil, not tested, condition unknown. Generator hours: 1061.6. Three banks of batteries. Two 8D's for the engines and two 8D's for the house. Generator 4D battery not serviceable. Banks are dead. Batteries took a charge when the charger was turned on but didn’t last. AC Delco/Cross Country Charger.
Electronics: VHF: Standard Horizon Explorer; Chart plotter Garmin GPSmap441s plotter and depth sounder; Loud hailer VLH-3000; Stereo on aft deck operates via switch. All electronics operated correctly.
Galley: Galley with sink, Kenmore dishwasher (not tested), instant hot water unit (not tested), Black & Decker Spacemaker coffee maker works, Microwave works, GE Refrigerator, Princess stove/oven works. All appliances in good condition for age. Interior with salon, dinette, 3 staterooms and two heads. Upholstery is in good condition, very clean. Headliner is in good condition, clean. Carpet is in good condition, no staining noted. Washer/dryer unit in master stateroom, not tested.
Ground Tackle: Anchorlift windlass in good condition. Works via dash switch
Canvas, Mast Rigging, Sails: Isinglass is worn at helm and aft deck. Some panels have fallen down.
Head: Two heads with vanity, sink, shower and electric heads, not tested.Shipping: Item sold "where is". Assistance with shipping is generally available; however, buyer is responsible for costs of preparing item for shipment and charges for loading vessel onto trailer or transport.
