These trimarans are considered some of the strongest and most sea-worthy Blue Water multi-hulls ever built. They have as much interior and stowage space as a 55 foot traditional yacht. This one sleeps 8 comfortably in dedicated beds with three private double cabins, two heads, one with standing shower, and two individual bunks (plus one more double berth to make it sleep 10, if the salon table is folded down.) There is also even a locker which was designed by the manufacture with salon access so that it can easily be modified into yet another double berth for folks who want a multi-hull capable of sleeping 12 guests. The huge, expansive deck and trampoline nets give space on deck for huge pot-luck dinner parties, sunbathing, kayaks, dive gear, bikes and sailboards and it even has a really nice dingy davit hoist system so you just lower your dingy for use with block and tackle rather than having to tow it behind. The outer pontoons "amas" offer tons of stowage space for all the extra sails and gear and long distance provisions which otherwise clog up the interior of a monohull. The mounted steps up both masts enable you to easily climb up the mast to take breathtaking vista photos or to service the rigging or sail tracks or to watch for coral-heads when coming into an unfamiliar harbor. The boat has equipment for a self-tacking jib sail as well as a rotating main boom for an early version of the same style of furling main sail that is used on the big racing catamarans. With no keel to weight the boat down, you can get incredible hull speeds especially down wind in the tradewinds. 200 mile days are not uncommon in a vessel like this one. But the best part of all really is being able to just sail up to a beach at mid-tide, beach the boat for a few hours of fun without even bothering to anchor with anything other than a safety anchor tossed on the beach, swim and snorkel the reefs and mix cocktails till the tide comes back in, and then hoist the sails and sail away, all with only the effort of tossing a ten pound danforth anchor up onto the dry sand.Unlike many later models these were not built of weak, blown chipped fiberglass and they are not built as three hulls and then connected together with cross pieces. These were built as one large single piece formed together with solid woven roving FRP integral yacht body that connects all three hulls into a single bombshell rigid unit. That is what you want for serious blue water ocean crossings. It also has incredible hull strength and rigidity for being able to run aground on the beach, enabling you to service your own hull bottom at low tide in all those remote parts of the world that have no facilities for hauling out a 41 foot multi-hull. The rudder and prop are fully protected for this purpose. Also, the shoal draft characteristics make it possible to get to all those secret little private beaches and coral reefs where the deeper draft mono-hulls cannot go, especially in the Florida Keys and Bahamas where shallow waters extend for miles off the coast. The main photo was taken a few months ago. I will post a very long and detailed description here in the next day or so along with a bunch more photos which I intend to take tomorrow. The mast is currently un-stepped in preparation for upgrading to LED anchor lights and spreader lights and new weather instruments. Until I get the more detailed description and get the rest of the photos uploaded, feel free to call me directly to ask any questions and I can give you a very complete description of the yacht, what it needs, what is great about it, and discuss whether you are the right person for this boat and whether or not it is the right boat for you.In the meantime, please discuss your plans and dreams with your spouse and/or yacht partners etc. before placing a bid. Please bid according to what you have on hand to spend rather than what you hope that Uncle Bob will loan to you etc. Your bid is a legally binding contract to purchase this yacht. Bidders are encouraged to come and inspect the vessel prior to bidding. I will be on hand personally to give boat tours during the full listing period of the auction. Purchasing a boat is a serious investment of money and your time in maintenance and restoration. The only way to know for sure that this boat is the right fit for your personal amount of Time/Money and that it meets your expectations for the price, is to come and inspect it in the real world. Only 27 of these Corinthian Multi-hulls were built. The only other one of them that I can find for sale currently is one listed on yachtworld for $89,500.00. Go check out that sistership on Yachtworld and you will see what these look like fully restored. If this one sells for under $40K, and even if you spend another $10K on upgrades and new electronics and equipment that gives you $40K in value for your handy labor over spending cash to buy a turn-key boat. In the end, you will know your boat better that way, because you've already been all through it with a fine tooth comb, and it will be customized to your personal tastes and needs. I can provide you with a ton of book titles and Youtube videos covering every aspect of restoring a classic yacht like this one. At the end of the day, even if you spend 400 labor hours and another $10K in materials and new gear restoring it to 100%, that comes out to paying yourself $100 per hour for your own time compared to the cost of buying a turnkey boat at market value that may or may not also have a few bugs to work out. That's a great deal for someone who doesn't have $90K laying around but they have some handy skills and are willing to do a minor re-fit and updating remodel.Payment is due in full within 24 hours after the close of the auction. If you are the high bidder at the end of the auction please call me right away after the auction closes to discuss the details of the transaction and whether you will want to move the boat right away or keep it at the marina where it is currently located. Please see our 100% positive feedback rating for many other high dollar transactions on boats, cars, film equipment etc..Thanks for your interest.William
