Description
Microplus 501 Explorer – Blue Spirit Comes complete with a Galvanised road trailer with working brakes and a 25HP Mercury 2-stroke outboard. We have owned this for a couple of years and had a lot of fun on Loch Lomond, the canals and on the Sea. Very easy to launch / recover from a slipway and easy to trail about with a standard family car or larger. It is a small boat so quite compact inside. There is a V berth for 2 people, a cooker (gas bottle on stern bracket) and a chemical toilet in a cupboard. In the cockpit, there is good space. 2 built in seats at the rear and standing area for the helm position. Would be very suitable for fishing or just leisure boating. Engine is easy to start. Both electric start (on a key) or pull start. Throttles and steering connected with remotes to the helm position. Fuel tank is proper metal outboard tank with quick release – self-sealing couplings. It comes with a canopy (see last photo) which is useful for storage or boating in the rain! Has a couple of poppers missing but quite serviceable Has some lights and other electrics but may not all be working – marine electrics is not my strong point and we have never needed navigation lights etc. Easy fix for someone with talent. It has a BSS safety certificate valid until November 2018 so 2 more seasons before a new inspection is required (if you want to go on inland waterways) Selling as we have decided to buy a new sailing boat.
Phone David on 07717 205282 or contact through eBay for any questions or to arrange viewing. I love to chat to people about boating! From Lenght: 4,98m / 16ft 4 in
Beam: 1,86m/6 ft 1in
Draught: 0,50m/1ft 8in
Weight: ?
Max HP: 85
