Was powered by a one cylinder 8hp Yanmar (removed) which may need rebuild. Rings dont seem to be seated. 600 hrs. on engine according to previous owner. Comes on a trailer with four good tires. Has two good main sails and jib. I haven't set up the rig so I don't know if all of the parts are here but was told by previous owner that it was complete. Could use a paint job. Cock pit wood has some rot but not severe enough to safety sail now. Comes with one battery but has space for a second and has the isolation batt. switch. Has a 3 gallon fuel tank and a five gallon fresh water tank. Galley includes a sink and Alcohol stove. Cabin includes a Marine Porta john, vhf, depth sounder, and switches for running lights . Trailer requires a 2 inch ball for the hitch. Ready to tow. In the process of getting new GA registration. Ive confirmed that this vessel was made by Squadron Yachts in 1981.The Gallows ( the support that holds up the boom and mast and gaft needs to be replaced Those spars are resting in the stern on a bumper and secured for travel.

Frolic was a factory "one off" meaning that she was custom made for the customer which is why shes different than most America's. She does not have the original America ( with the flag stitched on) Main. Instead of a retractable keel with was much more common, she has a shoal draft keel which is better for stability. Additionally a bowsprit and jib were added which most also is very rare for HA18s. Instead of an outboard motor well, she was designed to accommodate a one cylinder diesel. I have the title from the previous owner which was signed and has a 2014 date on it. I bought Frolic from a guy in Charleston who didnt title her. The title is tattered because it went through the wash but its legible. Id recommend getting another used diesel for her or installing a transom mounted out board.
