This is a superb Dell Quay Dory eurosport 15.
The boat has stood for at least six years in a garden in Spain, the original seats were fried and split from the sun.
I have fitted one seat but new seats would be required, i have the old cushion covers for patterns to have new cushions made.
To my amazement the motor started straight away with new fuel and a battery.
The motor has little corrosion and appears to have been hardly used.
I fitted a new water impeller as a matter of course, the pump works very well now. ( i will post pics soon )
The gears select smoothly, the motor sounds excellent and runs on three cylinders smoothly.
I have given the trailer a full service with new wheel bearings, replaced the tyres with ones from another trailer, the brake linings were cleaned and drums deglazed, they are in excellent condition.
The Hull has been re painted on the lower with a high quality antifoul paint.
Work required will be,
The carburettors will need to be stripped and the lacquer left by the evaporated fuel removed, currently although the motor runs two carbs are flooding due to poor needle valve seating.
Seats fitted and secured.
A new battery,
The bilge pump is working but has no strainer on the bottom and needs to be screwed down.
A new ignition switch as i had to force the original, it works but i had no key.
I would recommend draining the two stroke oil and re filling with a newer synthetic oil.
Thats it as far as I can tell, grab a winter bargain.
I should arrive in Bradford on Avon on the 27th Feb, it will be available for you to view, please come and look, it will be a great boat when completed, I have too many other projects to finish this one in time to bring it back at the end of february, also I have no use for it myself.
