Here with have a Smith & Forster 30 feet timber Broads Cruiser. It has a 1.5 litre 4 cylinder BMC diesel with hydraulic gearbox. It can sleep 6, two berths in the forecabin, two on the dinette which converts to a double and two in the right aft. It does have a full cooker with oven, grill and 2 burners however as one of the windows has been missing for a couple of months some rain has allowed itself to sit on the two burners so those will either have to be replaced or fit a second hand cooker, it has a sink and drainer with storage underneath. There is also a fridge in the cockpit and 2 gas bottles in the port hand wheelhouse locker which are vented over the side. It has a sea toilet fitted with a holding tank and a fully working shower. The cockpit cover is in good usable condition as is the upholstery and carpets in the boat. It has not been messed around with in any way and spent the majority of its life on the Norfolk Broads until it was road-hauled down to the South Coast, which is now where it is lying, out of the water. She was advertised on Boatshed Norfolk Broads for £9,500 and did sell for £8,500. She does need some work to the port hand chine where a couple of planks and the chine rail has moved away from the ribs by about 4mm. We think this is due to bouncing on the transport lorry pads. We have also noticed several bits of soft timber above the water line which could do with replacement but not a terribly hard job. Two of the port hand stern cabin windows are broken, this was also done when the boat was transported. The windows were not fixed shut correctly. It does have an array of fenders and a few ropes and also an all over winter cover which is inside the boat. We currently have the injectors out of the engine for cleaning and these will be re-fitted. We are not selling the boat as a ready to use vessel but as a project as it requires these jobs to be done before it is put to sea. We haven't heard the engine run however we are replacing the battery and as I have said earlier, cleaning the injectors and hope to get the engine started before the end of the auction. we are marine engineers /boat dealers and will be listing many other craft over the next few months /we will take part exchanges, cars, boats, outboards etc. just message me on 07909 826236 and if you have any questions about the boat or would like to view.
