Teasel is a 57ft JOSHER style narrowboat built in 2009 by Mike Christian boat builders using the standard 10/6/5/4mm construction. It is a one owner boat from new and was professionally fitted by Lymm marina. It is a reverse style layout, so from entering the cabin from the rear deck steps take you straight in to the galley which has the usual appliances, but also the added benefit of a fitted washing machine. Moving on from the galley is a large open plan saloon area, with solid fuel stove and side opening doors. Then there is the full width shower room with a full height glass shower unit, hand wash basin and Thetford C200 cassette toilet. Then there is the bedroom right at the front of the boat with permanent double bed and wardrobe. Front doors then lead out on to the front deck area. The boat benefits from extras such as rear pram hood cover, solar panels, 240v shore line, inverter and navigation lights. Domestic hot water is supplied by a twin coil calorifier which its heat source is from either the engine, the central heating system or a 1KW immersion heater. The boat is heated by either diesel fired central heating running radiators throughout the boat or from the solid fuel stove in the saloon. The boat is powered by the very reliable Isuzu 35hp diesel engine with a PRM 120 gearbox, which has twin alternators supplying two banks of batteries, one starter battery and four domestic batteries, in turn these batteries are also supplied by solar panels on the roof. The boat has a stainless steel water tank, built in steel 180 litre diesel tank. The boat has spray foam insulation, slabs for ballast and a marine plywood floor throughout. The Boat Safety Certificate is valid until February 2019 it was professionally painted in 2016 and was blacked and had a new set of anodes in 2016 too.
