Description
I have just added a copy of the MCA certificate I plan to take cleopatra out of the water and repair the gearbox in the next couple of weeks. If it doesn't sell by then the quote I have been given is £600 to repair the gear box. Hello and welcome to the listing of my beloved CLEOPATRA This is a great opportunity to purchase a multi purpose vessel of such a built quality. Cleopatra was specially constructed in 1995 and cost nearly £30,000, she was used as a passenger vessel for day trips in the canals and rivers of Bath and was coded by the Maritime and Coast Guard Agency MCA to carry 34 passengers and 2 crew which means she had to be incredibly well built or safety reasons. She is 37 ft long by 10.5 feet wide, head height inside is about 5 ft 10 inches, weight I think is 8 tonne. Cleopatra is vertually unsinkable being double skinned, Consisting of one 6 mm layer on the outside and another 4 mm of steel inside and sprayed with foam In-between the two skins making it warm and ideal if she was to be converted into a live-aboard , she is flat bottomed and only draws 1.5 feet and is really stable Because of her shape and build she is very fast on the water, Cleopatra is powered by a 46 hp Perkins 4108 Diesel engine which was fully serviced and over hauled last year and had an oil and filter change this June. The engine runs perfect and never misses a beat. Sadly the Enfield stern drive isn't engaging in gear and will need looking at. It was working perfect until last August 2016, I have bought a replacement gear box that just needs fitting it maybe a simple fix, I was told the connecting rod inside has most likely snapped. The buyer has the option of either fitting the replacement gearbox or fix the one that's already in. as you can see in the photos, the stern drive is protected by a steel frame on the outside which means even if you were to reverse the boat on to the bank or steer into shallow ground the stern drive is always protected and will not be damaged. She had a full Repaint 2 years ago taken back to bare steel (I have photos I can send ) the paint alone cost me £450 International marine paint, the best paint there is for boats. No expenses were spared, I spent a lot of money on her because I really wanted to turn era into a beautiful trip boat. This summer I have painted the inside and the gunwales , I have the paint to do the hull. The bottom below the water line was blackened with expensive Coflex vinyl tar and not cheap bitumen I bought Cleopatra to use her for day trips on the river Thames and the festivals Unfortunately circumstances have changed with the addition of two young ones and I just haven't got the time to use her and she is just sitting there. Cleopatra is beautifully lined and solid built, either to be turned into a live-aboard or as great business opportunity for day trips , she has a steel frame roof which makes it very easy to add a roof if converting it in to a live-aboard The boat is sitting on the River Thames in Reading, there is a boat yard near by if you want to crane her onto a lorry for transportation. offers considered Please feel free to call anytime. 07703028041 Thanks for looking
