26ft searay sundancer project 1997

Here for sale is my project 1997 searay sundancer.I bought it as a fire damaged boat from melbourne. Caught fire on its trailer... It has been cleaned up and is nearly finished preparation for fibreglassing.damage was to the deck from windscreen back including top floor(has an underneath which is fine).You will need to be able to fibreglass or learn.I have engaged a professional fibreglassing boat repairer to asses this boat and it is a worthwhile project.It does NOT have any mechanical parts. Its just a giant tinnyBUT its a 26ft modern looking fibreglass tinny which is what attracted me.I was looking to rebuild it similar to a formula cbr350 and a cobalt 336 which is a large bowrider with upfront seating for about 4-5.engine choice is upto you however i was going to use marinised lexus 4ltr v8 and a volvo penta dpd1 drive.I have these and can be purchased separately to the successful bidder for a reasonable sum.I also have a second hand glass windscreen taylor made which looks like it came from this boat and some other parts which i purchased new from the states.As this is a project you can choose your own direction. It would equally suit a centre console with in or outboards. The boat builder said that is what he would do as it would make a fantastic large fishing boat with Plenty of room.As its a sundancer it has a high freeboard. It still has the shower and toilet which can go with it.I understand this isnt for everybody just keep in mind that these boats sell second hand for between 40-60k and were 140k new.if you care to price a large aluminium boat around 24-26 feet you might be shocked at how much a tub costs...This makes it a little hard for normal folk like us to get into a boat of that calibre which is why i jumped on it.Now i have had it for close to 4 years and have only cleaned it up and bought parts so far.I was lucky enough to buy another boat last year which is closer to being finished and am putting my time into that as i dont know how to fibreglass... yet. doesnt seem too hard from all the videos i have watched...and i can put the winning bidder in touch with all the suppliers i have come across so farThis could be your next project which is a modern looking boat which would handle the ocean, the lake and you can tow it :DIts sitting on a 7 metre unregistered plant trailer which is included with the sale.The package owes me around $8,500 presently.Inspections are welcome and indeed advised.
