'Crazy Lady' is a 23' newly renovated Sailing Yacht with a swing keel and lifting rudder. Her hull is of good shape, with fine lines, and would be ideal for exploring shallow waters. (Please note that photographs of the boat out of the water were taken during the course of refurbishment and do not indicate current condition. They are included to give viewers an idea of the hull configuration only.)I bought her in 2014 when she was lying ashore in our local boatyard looking very neglected. After years of various owners, she has lost her identity and age, and despite many hours of investigations into type and class, I am still none the wiser. However, she has features reminiscent of an early Snapdragon. She has been a renovation project of mine over the last three years, which has finally come to and end but now, due to personal circumstances, I have regretfully decided to sell her.Crazy Lady has a fibreglass hull, deck and cabin tops. The aft cabin roof and hatch were both in a bad state of repair when I purchased her, and these have both been replaced with plywood sheets. The sliding hatch has been made approximately half the size of the one she had when I acquired her. The roof has been fibreglassed with two layers of matting. All surfaces above the waterline, and the inside of the cabins, are painted white, with the deck areas finished in grey non-slip paint.Below the waterline, paint and antifoul was taken back to the fibreglass. All unused outlets were blanked off, and fibreglassed over. The hull was then painted with two coats of primer and two coats of antifoul. At some stage in Crazy Lady's history there had been an inboard motor installed, but this has since been removed, with the stern shaft still in situ. Both ends have been blanked off and fibreglassed over. The engine I have recently used is located at the rear of the cockpit area (see photograph). The internal/water side of the engine well has been fibreglassed with two layers of matting, and strengthened as required. The engine well can easily accommodate a 6 HP outboard motor. Please note: Crazy Lady is being sold without a working motor, although I am prepared to negotiate the sale of the motor I have been using separately.Summary of facts and figures:Make: UnknownModel: UnknownYear: UnknownEngine: NoneOverall length: 23' or 7.01mBeam: 7' 8" or 2.37mDraft with keel down: 4' 9" or 1.34mDraft with keel up: 2'3" or 0.68mKeel type: Swing keelRoller reefing on ForesailSlab reefing on MainsailList of Equipment:Genoa sail - fair conditionMain sail - fair conditionMail sail coverCockpit cover - 2 years' old4 No. Internal cushions - 12 months' old Curtains - 2 years' oldNavigation lightsCompassBatteryHand operated bilge pump2 Winches1 Winch handleAnchorStern boarding ladderFire blanket4 No. FendersThrowing lineBoat hookHardwood adjustable support legsCrazy Lady is currently moored at Newhaven, East Sussex.
