1991 Penn Yan Contender w/ MerCruiser I/ODescription: This Penn Yan is an excellent fishing machine with loads of freeboard in a nice size cockpit.  The hardtop gives protection from the sun and elements and has ample rod storage up out of the way.  The cuddy cabin has nice sized v berths and a spot for a porta potti.  This boat ingested water into the 5.0 LX (GM 305 cui) motor a few years ago and was never properly secured or repaired.  since that time she has been stored out of the water.  The boat spent it's first 10 + years on the lakes of NY and was brought down to the salt water within the past 10 years so it has weathered the years very well.  Someone with some mechanical skills can address the motor issue and have an awesome fishing machine for the fraction of it's value.NO TRAILERHull:  The hull appears to be in very sound condition with some normal scrapes, scratches and fading of a hull of this age. There are few stress cracks in the gel coat and the cockpit non skid is in good condition.  All the hatches are in place and show no signs of soft spots or deterioration but some latches may need repair.  The hardtop is sturdy and shows no signs of flex or deterioration.  The cuddy area has two V berth cushions that are in good condition.  All the hardware appear in good condition as do the rod holders and related fishing accessories.NO TRAILER    Motor:  The 5.0 LX Mercruiser motor is seized due to water ingestion a number of years ago.  It is believed that the exhaust "flappers" are not in place which allowed water to enter the engine by backing up through the exhaust system.  following the water entering the engine nothing was done to repair the issue or secure the motor from further damages.  The fix for the boat would be a complete motor or a long block as all the engine components are still in place.  The unit is an alpha One Generation 2 which is stored on the cockpit deck and appears in good condition.  NO TRAILERExtras:  There are no electronics with the vessel though there are transducers and a VHF antenna which will remain on the vessel.  The Radar dome will be removed and is not included in the sale. NO TRAILERThis is an excellent fishing platform that can easily be back on the water catching the big ones.  This is a project I had planned on putting back together bit my plans have changed so I am looking to move her on.  Please bid to win and be able to follow through with any offer or bid you may place.   Thank you Important Additional InformationTitle InformationThe vessel has a transferable NJ boat title.Payment InformationPayPal is the preferred method of deposit and / or  payment.  Due to the increasing amount of fraud, I follow very strict PayPal guidelines.           Our Terms of SaleBefore buying please review eBay's Bidding Policy and make sure you are aware of your responsibilities as a buyer.
