Offered for your consideration is a 2003 Sea Ray 280 Sundancer.  This boat is 31 ft overall and is in excellent condition. It was recently traded on a new larger boat purchase and I have acquired it from the dealer with the intent to resell.  The 4.3 liter fuel injected engines have approximately 700 hours, but the boat looks as though it has 200. The engines and engine room are spotless with no rust or staining, showing that this boat was well loved by it's owner. The engines start easily and run perfectly smooth and quiet as fuel injected motors should. It was cruised for two hours on the ride home and performed flawlessly. The hull shows extremely well with a couple of very minor cosmestic issues only. Swim platform has small impact crack when it was most likely backed into a dock. 2 inches and hardly noticeable in one of my photos. One other very small scuff, about the size of a quarter, is present on the starboard side about midship. I have not yet tried to rub it out or even wash the boat for that matter. The full enclosure canvas includes a connected camper back with screens all in great shape. The photos show that the front enclosure windows require replacement. I am having this done professionally and expect the windows to be completed by the end of this auction. The interior is extremely nice with upholstery all in excellent condition. The lower floor carpeting needs to be cleaned and possibly replaced. It's a rectangular piece that is simple to install or quite inexpensive to have professionally done if you choose. Cabinets and headliner are perfect. All interior lights work. The original CRT TV has been removed. The opening is present with slide out base where tv used to be and looks like something is missing. New owner will have to find a replacement tv or convert opening to wine rack possibly. This is shown in one of my photos. The same photo looks like the top of the partition wall has damage, but it's only an illusion as a chrome trim piece is reflecting light in the photo. The interior has a mid cabin with double berth, a double berth in the bow, and a settee that drops to a double berth for children. The interior is air conditioned and the system works extremely well as does the refrigerator. The boat is not equipped with a generator. The helm station, wheel, and throttle controls appear in excellent condition and show no signs of weathering or fading. All navigation and runnings lights work. The stereo/multi-cd player sounds wonderful and includes all working speakers both inside the cabin and out on deck. The boat is equipped with a windlass and remote search light mounted on the bow. Exterior seat upholstery is in excellent condition, soft and supple, with no sun baking or discoloring. I realize that a few of the seats appear dirty. They are!. Please overlook as I have not yet had a chance to clean. The passenger side seat back folds down to create an additional double berth or sun pad on deck. The boat includes an exterior table for dining out on deck. The only other issue worth mentioning are the painted aluminum trim pieces around the exterior breaker panel, ice box, and cabin entrance. Some of the white paint has chipped off and these should be repainted to really make the boat perfect. This is a simple cosmetic repair with a quick sanding and spray painting, but they should be unscrewed and removed to do it properly. If it's a deal breaker, I will do it for you:-)  The foredeck is perfect, as are the windshield, stainless window ports and forward hatch. I have not found one stress crack anywhere on this boat. The NADA book value is between $35 and $42 thousand. My opinion is that this boat is in better than average condition.I have tried to be as forthcoming and honest as possible with my description. I realize that this is a purchase not comfortably made without seeing in person.  My intent is to sell this boat, but more importantly to have a comfortable, stress free, happy buyer. Please see my feedback and bid with confidence. If you win the bidding and decide not to go through with the purchase, only after seeing the boat in person, I will gladly refund your deposit with no questions asked. Please do not bid if you have no intention of going through with the purchase, haven't the money, or permission from your significant other. It's expensive and time consuming to complete a listing and I would really rather not have to do it again if possible. This auction is starting at $1 and has no reserve. The highest bidder will own this boat. I will be happy to assist with making arrangements for transport or inexpensive Winter storage in Essex, CT if you desire. If you have any additional questions, please call me at 860-662-9109. Thank you, Rich H.
