Boat Name: Blue Parrot We purchased her in January 2016 for over $80,000. The previous owner had her for 28 years. She was used seasonally for 4 months and stored in a dry, covered storage for the rest of the year. Thanks to that she is in a great condition. The sails are in a good shape, mizzen was really used at all. The hull has no blisters, it only needs a coat of fresh paint. We motor sailed her from Fort Lauderdale to Fort Pierce in April 2016. We put her on dry, planing to do the outfitting for cruising the Caribbeans. But our lives took unexpected turn and we were forced to put her up for sale. Unfortunately, heavy rain in September did some damage to her, but with little work she will be back to her beauty and ready for sea again. The damage is entirely due to rain water intrusion overflowing the bilge. Engine itself has not been touched by the water level and it is still working and fully operational. Some other equipment located below the engine level, like A/C compressor and fridge compressor, might suffer some damage while overflowed. The water never entered the cabins or saloon, so there is no damage to the teak sole. We are currently pricing her at 35K, which is less than 50 percent of her value. The reason for this is that we’re both retiring in December, we are moving out of the country, and we want to sell her quickly. We are selling this boat AS IS and WHERE IS. No sea trials, no games with costly engine runs. This boat in the current condition, WITHOUT the engine is worth 70-75 K. Old, working diesel is a free bonus. The boat is currently stored on hard at the marina in Fort Pierce. Stamas Ketch Center Cockpit 44 comes around very rarely. There was only 22 built by Stamas Yacht. The only other two that are on the market right now are priced at 99K and 183K. Stamas has been recognized for building strong, seaworthy vessels since the 1960's. Their expertise in fiberglass boat building led them to develop boats for the US and foreign militaries, patrol boats for law enforcement agencies and research/exploration vessels as well. Accommodations Nice and bright main salon with L shaped settee that converts to double berth, two chairs, and teak folding table that seats 6, and lots of storage. Full U shaped galley on starboard, with 3 burners gimbal stove, double SS sink with filtered water, top and front load fridges. Navigation station with desk and seat on port. Aft passageway, offers a berth that serves as workspace if needed, leads to aft stateroom. Spacious aft master stateroom futures double berth, hanging locker, 2 large lockers, 5-shelf teak cabinet, and 4 large drawers. Private head with separate shower and VacuFlush toilet. Forward stateroom with V-berth, hanging locker, and drawers, offers plenty storage room. Private access to full head with shower. Lots of head-room throughout.
