970 319-4361Cruise the World is Comfort and Style. Big enough to be the perfect Global Cruiser for a Couple or small family, but still modest enough in size that it is easy to single hand. To get a vessel of this size and built to similar standards, with this kind of equipment package, quality features and custom interior you will be very lucky to ever find a similar vessel below $80,000 unless it is in far rougher condition than this one is, requiring extensive repairs and upgrades. This boat on the other hand is in nearly perfect, ready to sail condition. The photos were taken last week when I delivered it to its current mooring in Avalon Harbor in the romantic island of Saint Catalina Island which is about 27 miles off the Pacific Coast of California. The Island is accessible by Uber car service to Catalina Express ferry ($55 total cost) to get all the way from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)  The trip from LAX takes about 3 hours to complete if you time your flight to the ferry schedule. The Ferrys run three times daily most days. Check their website for details.Absolutely Stunning Classic Lines in this Gorgeous Racer Cruiser. Compare to Nautor Swan and Sparkman and Stephens boats of the same era. This boat was far ahead of its time with the same hull profile and racehorse "all muscle and bone" racer cruiser styling that was later adopted by Beneteau and Jeanneau.Leather Cushion Covers in perfect condition with Vessel Name embroidered on cushions and pillows.Highly detailed and nearly perfect condition teak and mahogany interior (not like the cheap plastic and plywood construction of so many of the more modern yachts) One small spot on the floor where teak lamination has a small wrinkle (about eight inches by ten inches) but otherwise interior is nearly perfect condition and just needs occasional teak oiling. Twelve winches including three self tailing winches and two huge oversized spinnaker winches worth $1000 each at used gear prices. Total estimate just for the winches is about $8000 value. The 6000 lb of lead in the keel is worth $12,000 at the current $2lb spot price of lead ($1 lb scrap value= $6000) This explains why cheaper and newer yacht makers chose to make their keels with cast iron rather than fill them internally with lead, but that leads to dangerous corrosion problems and lower performance since cast iron is far less dense than lead.
On Dec-02-16 at 11:03:56 PST, seller added the following information: I've had several people ask about if the mooring is available so I am posting here the answer to that one.
The short answer is that the mooring is available through the winter and it is very affordable by California standards. Only $82 per week or aprox $328 per month. However, it is really only a good deal for people who live in California or who want to spend the winter exploring Catalina Island. This is because the Avalon Harbormaster office manages the mooring field and they strongly encourage owners to keep an eye on their own vessels. It is possible, depending on the wind direction of incoming winter storms they may request you to move the boat to a different part of the mooring field for better protection with only 24 or 48 hours notice before an incoming storm. If you are not close enough to come and move the boat yourself you would need to hire the Vessel Assist captain to move it for you which costs $240. You will also need to immediately get liability insurance in your name and provide a copy of your policy to the harbormaster's office if you wish to keep the boat there.
BOAT DELIVERY AVAILABLE - On the other hand I can deliver the boat for you by water anywhere along the California coast or down to the upper part of Baja Mexico for only $1800. You would need to arrange where I drop the boat off before hand, but that might also be an option if you can't very quickly fly out to California to move the boat yourself or get close enough to it to be within a 24 hour ability to get to it when necessary.
