Welcome to my auction for Nutcracker a 30 foot Nicholson cruiser racer yachtShe has been in my ownership for the past 10 years and previous to that, I used to sail on her regularly with the previous owner during his 6 year ownership of her. We've sailed her along the South Coast from Portsmouth as far as Falmouth and crossed the channel a few times to Cherbourg and St Vaast. We've also taken part in the Round the Island race a number of times, with our last time being 2011, where we had our best finish of 7th in class and 128th overall in the IRC rating system division 7A. As shown next, but can easily be found on the website

She was built in about 1975 to a Ron Holland design and is a half tonner (303)

I would say that she is in need of some TLC, but with a scrub and anti-fouling, she would be ready to have a blast on and I'd be happy to come along it required.
Equipment: The Mast and all the standing and running rigging was replaced in 2008. The current mast is Z-Spars.The engine is an 11hp Lister Petter AC2W mini twinSails:2 x spinnakers, one heavy the other light winds2 x No 1 Genoa, 1 x No2 Genoa, 1 x reefable No 3 Genoa, 1 x Storm Job.2 x MainsailsThere is one spinnaker pole and one whisker pole.Instrumentation is Autohelm ST50 for depth & log, with wind being upgraded when the new mast was fitted in 2008There is a Ray Marine ST1000 autopilot that has seen very little use since being bought new in 2010 for around £400Radio is Navico RT6500 and should be upgradedJabsco toiletThere is an Eberspacher D2 which used to work, but I haven't used it for a couple of years and it didn't start last time I had a quick go at it.There are two service batteries (probably knackered and one cranking battery that is OK.I strongly recommend viewing and can be contacted on 07419742167 (Pat) in this regard or and other questions. Please bearing mind that I live about 90 miles from where Nutcracker is moored. She is currently on a mooring in Portsmouth Harbour and this can be taken over at the new owners expense for about £1250 per year, but you would need to arrange this directly with Gosport Boatyard.Depending on the tides, it might be possible to put her on my club grid to have a look at her hull. I took some pictures last month, but they only really show that she has been anti fouled.
I found the following link and I think it explains better then I can, what they are like. www.yachtsnet.co.uk/archives/nicholson-half-tonner/half-tonner.htmShe is a bit cleaner inside than the interior pictures show. There is a GPS and various other items that I haven'y included, but am happy to throw them in if wanted. This is for collection only, with collection being from Gosport HampshireCollection only, from Portsmouth Harbour. I will give any assistance I can with this. Thanks for looking.
