Welcome to "Lignarius"{Carpenter or worker with wood}Lignarius is a 47' Traditional Narrowboatbuilt in 2004 by Newport Narrowboats for my father who designed the hull.It was fitted out by himself over 2 years before going into the water in Willowbridge Marina in 2006.Being a carpenter he has made some unique features inside the boat as you can see from the pictures. The seating can be retracted to leave the cabin quite empty, ideal for parties or maybe putting practice.... hmmmYou can have one two or all three sofas out depending on how many visitors you have, or want.... and then turn them in to beds and bunk beds. The front panels also double as small tables when in the upright position.next to the fireplace is a coal bunker that will hold approximately 100kg of coal, ideal for this time of year and saves leaving 4 bags on the roof to be dragged down in the wind rain and snow! under the Morso Squirrel 1410 are two draws for kindling and firelighters. the fireplace its self is designed to lift cold air from the floor, under the two draws and channel it up behind the flu.there is a pop up shelf by the 4 burner gas hob, a gas oven, boiler and gas Waeco fridge. He built the gas locker himself to accommodate two 19kg bottles but you can obviously fit smaller if you wish. The hot water calorifier heats the water from the engine as well as a 1Kw immersion and with a direct gas boiler you never run out of hot water.... unless you run out of gas and diesel and electric, in which case you really should take care of all that before needing hot water! The main bed (pictured above) is a single day bed or pulls out to a double without much effort.... (my other half can do it and shes tiny!) The shower room has a shower in it.... thermostatic mixer and automatic waste pump.  The loo is a cassette toilet (2 cassettes), a couple of shelves, 12v extractor, LED lighting and a porthole (frosted for your modesty)The other portholes have pads in burgundy to match the outside as do the two Houdini hatches. As well as giving you privacythey help to keep the inside warm and cozy as well as dark in the mornings for a good layin! Kitchen cupboards and draws are soft close so don't open as the boat rocks when speedy boaters (yes there are a few)hurtle past at a bizillion mph.The tiller was made by my father and folds up to make jumping on and off at locks easy, it also holds up the fold away washing line (when weather permits!)There are 2 solar panels connected to three leisure battries, one starter battery and a 1000w inverter charger. Two alternators are fitted to the Barrus Shire 35 which has 2850hrs on it.It has a PSS stern seal so no need for constant greasing. The BSS is valid till October 2019, has just had a hull survey which will be put in your name for insurance. The outside was sandblasted before being sprayed in 2pac paint on top and the hull was blacked in 2pac also. The front cabin is currently a blank canvas and you can turn this into what ever your needs require, office, bedroom, workshop you get the idea!As you can see from pictures its still being decorated and will be painted white and left for new owner to transform.Flooring is the last job on the list, if its not done before sale I can take off the cost of floor I'm planning to fit and you can put that towards your own choice of floor. This is a stunningly beautiful boat in my honest opinion and needs to be seen to be appreciated. Its very warm and cozy inside, cruses very nicely and would make a nice home or holiday boat for anyone. I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for, yes there are "cheaper" boats out there but we all know what BOAT stands for Bust Out Another Thousand.  I will be broken hearted to see this boat go as it holds many fond memories of my farther but its time to go and be a good home for another family.Viewing to be arranged in and around Leighton BuzzardYes I can deliver to London (GrandUnion) for a fee.
