Description Year: 1970 Use: Salt Water Make: Alberg Engine Type: inboard, Atomic 4, 30 hps Type: Cruiser Engine Make: Universal Length (feet): 30.2 Primary Fuel Type: Gas Beam (feet): 9 Fuel Capacity: 11 - 20 Gallons Hull Material: Fiberglass Hull ID Number: 3070434 Rigging: Sloop For Sale By: Private Seller Keel: Full, fixed
This is a true blue water cruiser, with a full, deep keel, plenty of ballast, narrow beam and low freeboard. Even so, there are enthusiastic racing clubs and it rightly has a cult following. The hull is referred to as "bullet proof",and was recently careened. A later model, this has the improvements like the aluminum support under the mast, in the deck. The engine starts every time, never runs over 170 degrees and has innumerable spares, like impeller, coils, condensers and a winterizing port put in by the original owner , who loved this boat like an only child. I include a recommended engine upgrade that I didn't put in. There are four sails; main, working jib, genoa and spinnaker with whisker pole, which are in good shape. Sturdy, with cunningham, topping lift, reefing points and battens for real control. All new running rigging and 200 ft of new anchor line. All controls go back to the cockpit for single handling. There is a bimini, a mainsail cover, a complete cockpit sunshade and hatch vents.Has a proper marine head and a two burner alcohol stove and a swim ladder.Four berths; the cushions in the cockpit are serviceable and the cushions in the forward berths are good but the salon cushions need to be recovered. The fuel tank was recently cleaned and the lines need to be reinstalled and As mentioned there are a couple of spongy spots in the deck and the boat needs to be painted but she is ready and willing to sail.
