For sale my boat called Peto! She is a Norwegian motor launch of heavy fibreglass construction on a timber frame making her extremely stable. It's difficult to date her but certainly has lovely classic line. She has spent the majority of her life on the Norfolk broads and had passed the safety certificate in May 2013 before me purchasing her about 2 years ago.She is 15ft and fitted with a 90hp 1.8 litre petrol Volvo Penta engine and stern drive. The engine is the ultra-reliable Volvo B18 engine that was fitted to P1800’s. Spares are incredibly cheap and easily available, and it is also really easy to work on because of the space in the engine bay. It has had a major rebuild two years ago (I have the bills and see you tube link of film made by the previous owner https://youtu.be/1FVyg23R9Hs) and runs like a sewing machine. It has had a replacement alloy fuel tank and fuel pipes, new alternator, distributor, water pumps, and raw water strainer. In the last 12 months it has had a new sump, new modern rear crankshaft seal (to replace the original felt one!), painted floor, new canopy cover, the Stromberg carburettor refurbished, reconditioned starter motor, new battery isolator, kill cord, bilge pump (wired for auto or manual), as well as oil, plugs and filters. It is fitted with two rod holder (which are perfectly placed for trolling), a good quality depth sounder, lots of really good quality cleats and loops for mooring, and the original Volvo Penta dash, dials and navigations lights that all work perfectly (it has obviously been completely rewired at some point). I've got a big folder of bills and receipts plus the original manuals for it.It is sat on a good sturdy 4 wheel trailer which this summer I renewed all the rollers, the wheel bearings and two new wheels. It has a spare wheel, good winch and jockey wheel, and tows really well although it has had the brakes removed. We have used it in and around Dartmouth Harbour for the last couple of seasons and she has been perfect for trundling up and down the river. It will sit 6 comfortably and is great for either pleasure cruising or fishing. She has also has quite a turn of speed for an old girl! It has been our family boat and as we have 2 young kids it has had to be spot on. We have spared no expense on keeping her running perfectly.I pulled her out of the water last weekend jet washed her off and winterised her. I was planning to keep her and over the winter, re-anti-foul her and re-varnish some of the wood where it has flaked off. Both jobs easily done in an afternoon. Only selling as we have decided to upgrade to something bigger!Viewing encouraged and very happy to get her running for a serious buyer. Call John on 07971472666 to arrange.
