The Bertram 46.6 design is well known for the impressive seakeeping characteristics of her deep V hull, wide beam and low cockpit freeboard which make her a rough water performer. Bula Bula has been lavished with care and attention and has been brought up to current standards. Bula Bula runs perfectly, recently repowered with twin Detroit Diesel turbo 6V92 550 HP engines that only have 600 total hours. The 12.5 kW Phasor ship generator has only 580 hours. Her teak interior has been totally redone, including all new appliances, electronics, galley surfaces, master stateroom and forward stateroom layout, flooring, woodwork, etc. All closets are cedar lined and all lighting upgraded to LEDs.
