Redbay Stormforce 7.4m RIB This was the first 7.4 Redbay produced. She is a 1998 build, but has had a major refit in 2016. She is fitted with a Yamaha ME370STI inboard diesel engine, giving her a top speed of around 30 knots. This engine is incredibly economical, and uses less than 1 litre per mile. Her recent refit saw the installation of a cabin console, giving her benefit of a 2 berth cabin for weekend trips. This space is also incredibly handy for day trips as it can accommodate a porta-potty type loo along with vast amounts of storage. There is a further deck hatch fitted in the cabin for further storage of gear. Further details: Model: Redbay Stormforce 7.4 Engine: Yamaha ME370STi diesel inboard Leg: Yamaha sterndrive Fuel tank: 180 litres Bilge pumps: electric (auto) & manual hand pump Additional equipment: Echomax radar reflector, LED navigation lights, LED deck lights, Icom DSC VHF radio, fire extinguishers x2, fenders x2, mooring lines x3, anchor (with chain and wharp), boathook, paddles, bucket, box of spares (belts, new set of injectors, spare leg parts etc), overerall fitted cover (2 years old). The engine has just over 1300 hours on it, and has been regularly serviced; there is substantial paperwork with the boat showing extensive service and preventative maintenance work over the years. It was last serviced at the beginning of October 2016. In terms of overall condition, she is tidy for her age. The recent refit saw the installation of the console and new seating, along with the deck and engine compartment doors refinished in fresh gelcoat. The hull is antifouled. The tubes are largely tidy and were professionally overhauled during the refit (new wearpatches, addition rubbing strake etc) but do some have wear and tear. The sale includes a substantial twin axle roller trailer. The trailer is currently unbraked (brake cables have been removed due to corrosion) but has recent bearings and is fine to tow. A fantastic “go anywhere” RIB with the benefit of sleeping accommodation. A fantastic sea boat – this model has a fantastic reputation for dry and safe handling even in rough seas. A sea trial will be available for the winning bidder at Great Yarmouth, which is where the boat can be collected from.
