Description The 1978 Moody 33 MkI, designed by Angus Primrose, is a robustly built centre cockpit cruiser which has withstood the test of time well. This is a good example looks in excellent condition for her age. Blue Bass is lovely centre cockpit family cruising yacht with large volume interior, separate aft cabin, wheel steering, 35hp diesel, 6 berths, recent upholstery. MECHANICAL - Thorneycroft T90 4 cylinder 35HP inboard diesel engine with freshwater heat exchanger. 40 gallon fuel tank with a consumption per hour of around a gallon at a cruising speed of 5.5 to 6 knots. Shaft drive to bronze fixed propeller. Alternator charging to 2 12 volt batteries. 3-bladed propeller. Mains battery charger. NAVIGATION – Compass, iCom VHF radio. Stowe echo sounder; speed/log; wind instrument; autopilot. Alpine stereo CD/radio with speakers Clock and barometer & Navigation lights.SAFETY - Fire blanket, Radar reflector EPIRB (may require servicing) Horseshoe lifebuoy Harness eyes Emergency tiller 2 x Electric bilge pumps Manual bilge pump.DECK GEAR - CQR type anchor with chain Simpson Lawrence manual anchor windlass Stainless steel pulpit, pushpit and guardwires Stainless steel boarding ladder on transom Mainsail cover and cockpit dodgers Outboard bracket on pushpit, 8 x Fenders; Warps SAILS Masthead bermudan sloop. Silver anodised mast and boom. Spinnaker pole. Stainless steel standing rigging (new 2000). Terylene running rigging. Round boom furling mainsail. Hanked headsails. 2 x Lewmar 40 sheet winches. 2 x Lewmar 7 halyard winches on mast. 2 x Lewmar 7 spinnaker winches. Mainsail - good. Mainsail - fair. Working jib - very good. DOMESTIC Her interior has 6 berths in 3 cabins with 6' 2" headroom. Fore cabin with V-berth, infill to form a double berth, hatch to foredeck and storage in various lockers and beneath the berths. Full width heads compartment with a marine toilet to port and wash basin with storage cupboard and mirror opposite. Saloon with large U-shaped seating area which converts to a double berth with dining table to starboard and linear galley to port equipped with a 2-burner gas hob, sink, and storage. Sliding chart table aft to port over a quarter berth. Aft cabin accessed via the cockpit with two single berths and stowage space in various lockers. Blue/brown upholstery (new 2015) with cream carpets in saloon. Pressurized hot and cold water system heated by a colarifier water heater. OWNERS COMMENTS "Blue Bass" looks a very smart well maintained example of these excellent family cruising yachts!
