The Angler 2200 Grande Bay is a boat with unbelievable versatility. This 22 foot long vessel can venture almost anywhere because is draws a mere 12" of water. Therefore, it is no wonder why the commercial or "C" model is a favorite of government and law enforcement agencies. The large, wide deck gives its occupants plenty of room to move around and there's tons of storage space. There are huge fish boxes for all of your catch and a live bait tank. This boat runs like a dream, as I frequent the 43 (35 miles off the coast) with this boat to reel in an impressive catch. It is not even a problem to zip out to to San Clemente Island (50+ miles) and back because this boat hauls major butt (40+ mph) with a 225hp four stroke Yamaha. This commercial grade boat was bought from the Florida Department of fish and wildlife. This boat's commercial grade fiberglass haul is considerably thicker than what other consumer grade boats provide, ensuring a longer life and more durability. Just take a look around for class C boats and note the increased cost for this highly desirable feature. This boat was professionally re-powered with a fresh 2002 Yamaha 225 hp four-stroke. This engine has a brand new high and low pressure fuel pumps and many other upgrades. The engine was just fully serviced three months ago and runs flawlessly. When you are comparing other boats on the market, that the general rule of thumb is $100 per horse power for four-stroke engines - making this a $22,500 value sitting on the back end of this boat. When comparing boat engines, please note that 2-stroke engines cost half as much as 4-stoke engines and many places will not even allow you to run those dirty 2-strokes any longer. This powerhouse engine also sits on an adjustable jack plate ($1500 upgrade) to raise and lower engine. This feature is unique because it gives you a shallow draw and precisely adjust the depth of the propeller while on the water. The boat also includes a 2001 float-on aluminum trailer with brand new tires and repacked bearings. I've have well over $30,000 invested into this fishing machine. The hour meter says 612 hrs on engine (buyer to verify). Below is the list of all the new items that have been recently added to the boat:
-Yamaha 4 stroke engine ($$$$ upgrade) -New Dolphin T-top ($1000 upgrade)
-New Fortress anchor ($380 upgrade)
-New Lowrance Hook 5 GPS and fish finder ($400 upgrade)
-New Rear custom live well ($600 upgrade)
-New Thru hull brass live well scoop pickup ($300 upgrade)
-New LED front and rear deck lights ($200 upgrade)
-New 4 x 6.5" Polk marine speakers ($200 upgrade)
-New1200 Watt stereo amp ($250 upgrade)
-New bottom paint, the bottom of boat is now black ($800 upgrade) -New batteries Aug 2015 ($300 upgrade) The only negatives are the steering helm that has a pin hole size leak, which is an easy fix. The windshield has spider cracks and the seat vinyl is a little discolored because of the sun, but has no tears. Temp and volt gauge need to be rewired. The boat is also locally for sale, so seller reserves the right to cancel auction at any time, Sold As is. No Warranty.
