For sale our Bayliner 285 . It had been in regular use, well cared for and maintained. We are now looking to swap to a sailing yacht hence the sale. The boat is currently moored on lake Windermere. She will be hauled out early to mid November so viewing prior to this is recommended to allow for a trial etc. Included in the sale is a trailer (pictured) which I use for winter storage. The boat is too wide to be legally towed but the trailer is ideal for winter storage. The trailer will save you around £1000 each year in winter storage as you won't have to pay for craning in and out or cradle hire. You could also use the trailer when maintenance is required during the season, saving you more money. Winter storage at Windermere is already paid for until March 2017. The boat has the preferred Bravo 3 out drive with duo props, new anodes March 2016. Approx 150-200 hrs on the Mercruiser 350 mag petrol engine, surprisingly economical. We used the boat for around 9 weeks this year , regularly going out for a cruise yet spent less than £200 on fuel. I've had diesel powered boats on Windermere previously and find, given The 10 knot speed limit, that there isn't much difference in economy! Yet petrol engines are noticeably quieter and smoother, something which you really notice when sat in the cockpit cruising around. The boat has been professionally winterized and re-commissioned/checked over each year. New leisure batteries 12 months ago. 2014 survey available. The boat is in good condition, hull regularly waxed, nice white upholstery in the cockpit and blue carpets, hot and cold shower to swim platform and upgraded drinks holders to help find your drink in the dark ! Inside, the galley worktop and hob were upgraded. Over and above the standard fittings there is a wall mounted TV, stereo with remote control, CO2 and smoke alarm. Fitted carpet mats to give added protection to flooring. I have a couple of tins of Antifoul paint which I will also include. We will be using the boat 24-28 October so this would be our preferred dates for viewings although other dates can be arranged. Thank you. Chris
