Here we have a bespoke built Norfolk Smuggler 25' Gaff Rigged Cutter ,number 25 which I believe is the last one to be made. All the exterior and interior GRP mouldings and ballasted swinging keel were bought from Charlie Ward or Neil Thompson. The builder who owns a large Joinery business spent the next six years designing and building the interior plus fittings to his own specification. Most of the parts were sourced from original builders suppliers. The total cost of parts bought totals £55'000 going back 12 years from start of build. All receipts have been kept along with all documentation. She is registered with the small ships registry. All the timber except the tiller has been made from 100 plus year old Teak.Originally it was varnished but I have been systematically removing to leave it sun bleached. Still a little left. It is fitted with the following equipment:-Yanmar YM 3 cylinder Diesel 22 HP engine and single gear-lever controlled gearbox with heater plugs for cold weather starting. This engine is fresh water cooled with antifreeze solution which is then cooled by raw sea water through a heat exchanger so no rusting to engine internals. It has a rev counter with hour meters and the hour meter total is 340 hours. Having just had a full engine service. The engine compartment is sound proofed with special foil sided lead insulation. It has a seperate battery for engine starting along with two domestic batteries which can all be turned on at once or individual making sure your engine will always start. It has inline water and fuel filters. The gearbox drives a stainless steel prop shaft which has a friction free water seal that is dripless so the bilges always remain dry. It has a water trap and muffler along with a goose neck for the exhaust system. So very quite with no vibration from the three cylinder engine. Also no smoke or fumes. It has a two bladed bronze folding propeller which gains about an extra knot from a conventional prop and also reduces wear to the gearbox. Then it has a three bladed saw tooth edged rope cutter fitted even though the prop is enclosed by its long keel design. The rudder has a remote greasing pot to lubricate the shaft and tube bearings. The tiller is White oak and dies lift up.Hot and cold pressurised running water heated from engine and shore supplied mains electric . Diesel powered Heater for cabin on thermostat and timer, a new sea toilet with holding tank that can be pumped out manually or sucked out at a marina, very large fresh water tank with contents gauge same for diesel and smaller tank for heater, all filling ports are on the outside of the small upstand so any spillage goes overboard, the mast can be raised and lowered using the bowsprit as a fulcrum in its Tabernacle. Their is a Bowsprit pulley system for the jib sail and there are two different sized Jib Sails. All sails have been laundered and maintained at the beginning of this season and are still in excellent condition. There is bespoke made cockpit cover , Full overall cover, fly sheet / boom cover, boom / sail cover, a set of teak washboards and a full size door made from Perspex, the separate heads is fitted out with a washbasin and shower tray with waste water pump. There is a wet clothes hanging rail with vent hole to hang up your wet weather gear. All port lights are bronze and open, there are two adjustable opening bronze vents, a double berth and two full length singles with storage space under , open plan lounge, large storage area under the slide out table, chain locker accessible forward of the double bed via a door, the anchor chain and warp fit inside, there is an electric powered capstan Winch for the self launching / recovery of the Bruce Anchor, she has multiple warp cleats even midships, stainless steel safety wire and stauchions fitted with removalsble rear sections both sides for entry and egress , built into the pushpit is a large boarding ladder accessible from the water by pulling a rope, led lights fitted throughout, AIS fitted to one Raymarine Colour Chartplotter with  fish finder and it is also connected to the Icom VHF Radio for DMSS , it also has an external bulkhead mounted Raymarine E 125 multi Screen touch or controls 12" inch colour WIFI gps chart plotter that will talk to and can be operated by iPhone or iPad etc . There are four self tailing hand operated winches located so if your feeling tired you can hoist the sails up as well as using them for the foresails and mast lifting lowering. All the running rigging is new as are the fenders and shore warps. Her name is Narwhal and she is ready to sail anywhere you like. She is EU registered as Catergory B offshore. She can be confidently sailed single handed as all controls lead aft. A new boat built like this now with all the accessories would cost in excess of £180'000. Have a look on the present builders website. She is in the water at Titchmarsh Marina Essex and can be viewed anytime or for an escorted view please contact me.I have a fairly recent Survey that propesctive purchasers can look at .Any inspection by a Surveyir is more than welcome. A few features I forgot include the following, fire extinguisher both automatic for the engine compartment and a hand held one, fire blanket, automatic tiller steering, fender holders on pushpit, emergency throw line, emergency spare VHF Ariel, both chartplotters come with updated charts of whole of uk and most of EU North Sea, Sea drouge Anchor, bulkhead Compass that can be viewed both outside and inside the cockpit, two map reading lights above each single bed,six main cabin lights all led, the cabin is double lined with a GRP shell and insulated between so gets nice and warm, the swinging keel is beneath the ladder so not inside the cabin and is operated by pulling on a rope when sat at the helm, its on a big drum so is easy to raise and lower despite it's great weight, removable speed transducer for cleaning, depth meter with alarms, wind speed and direction plus a manual wind direction indicator, she will point into the wind at 30 degrees on either tack. Red Ensign on proper flagpole, courtesy flag halliards,Full cooker with grill and two jobs with wire gibbets has flame out protection, twin gas bottle exterior locker at stern with vent and change over valve, internal gas stop valve behind the cooker, all the electrics have been installed by a specialist with top of the range fittings including battery charger etc,Sink in main galley area with hot and cold taps, plenty of storage cupboards, weighs about 5 1/2 tons, standing headroom below to all areas, the brand new Raymarine E125 is in a bespoke fitted Teak surround silicon glued to the bulkhead so could be removed or moved without ruining the bulkhead. There is just a small hole drilled through for the electric cable. The mast top Radio Ariel combination wind direction indicator is also new, Has a current gas certificate, engine spares inc water impeller, fan belts , oil filter and engine oil , gearbox oil. It does not use or lose any oil.The hull was painted with special resin Awlgrip below the waterline from new to stop any water getting into the gelcoat and have receipts.IT FLOATS IN less a meter of water!!!The depth gauge is very accurate and is measured from the centre plate in the down position so it gives you an advanced warning allowing you lift the plate and go back into deep water. Ideal when trying to get up that shallow creek of over a harbour bar ect.Might take a cheaper Yacht WHY in part ex .
