Classic Avon RIB in need of retubing. It is one of the earlier military spec models – the stamp on transom top plate (see final photo) suggests it was built in 1975. The reinforced hull is in generally sound condition and there’s nothing more than the usual dings, mainly at front and transom edges.
The centre console incorporates a full-length stainless steel fuel tank, 1.5m x 0.25m x 0.25m, which holds 85 litres – it is very well made from heavy plate and remains in excellent order, c/w stopcock, filter and vent pipes. The steering wheel/cable and bilge pump are fully working.
Ideal opportunity to restore a legendary RIB to your personal specification for a fraction of the cost of a new one.
