For sale i have a 5 m fiberglass Merlin mirage, nor sure on age I would guess 1970's. Runs a 202 holden red motor Needs some work /is a bit of a project. (is registered)
I bought this boat as a cheapie to use for a year or two whilst i restored another, unfortunately the motor in it was stuffed when i got it. I spent a fair few weekends playing with it then decided to just swap the motor, I purchased a second hand running marinized 202 and used the best bits of both to drop in. As the case in most of these ebay sales I got busy with work , kids and renovated the house and never finished it. I have had this motor running but it was a couple of years ago. To finish it it needs the motor to be shimmed up properly to the shaft and fuel etc to be hooked up. The carby has been recoed but will need a couple of gaskets as its leaking fuel from sitting too long, it might even need a bigger jet in it as the last motor was a 186.
Comes with all of the spare marine gear in the photos.
The small amount of time I actually drove this boat for it drove fast and straight.
I'm sure i have forgotten a few things so just ask
Trailer has 12 months rego new ford hubs led lights and an extendable drawbar and tows nice , rego history tells me it was made in 1999It has been sitting in my garage for far too long and needs to go to a home where it can be finished and used, i never intended for this one to be a project and i have plenty of other toys that need my love so this has to go.ITEM IS CASH ON PICK UP ONLY PLEASE from Thomastown Melbourne, viewing is highly recommended as it is with any second hand vehicle sale. Boat will not leave my driveway until I have cash in my hand, do not pay by paypal or bank deposit, cheers
