The very good looking and spacious Mustang 2400 Sports Cruiser is a sought-after Australian built boat in the classic "Miami Vice" style. I love this boat but have sold my house and the Mustang has to go to a new owner too!A great feature of this cruiser is outboard power rather than the typical high maintenance inboard and sterndrive. In fact when fully raised the motor, leg and prop are all completely clear of the water, which is excellent when on a mooring.The 150hp 2.6 litre V6 Yamaha outboard has oil-injection, a stainless steel prop, and has been carefully maintained by its marine mechanic owner. Being a Yamaha, it of course starts and runs very well and lifts the boat onto the plane fast. Brand new digital LCD Yamaha gauges have been purchased, with the tacho installed, and speedo provided still in box ready to be installed.Near new Bosch large capacity High Cycle Marine battery plus second battery, changeover switches etc. Automatic bilge pump with manual override. In this design the motor is mounted at the rear of a Marlin board / swim deck hull extension which provides maximum room on the boat as well as easy access to and from the water. While Mustang calls this a 2400 Sports Cruiser for its 24 feet length, the design means it is classified as 6.9 metres for registration, which has a number of benefits including being in the lowest cost public mooring category ($324 per year in most of Sydney Harbour and Pittwater. And at approximately 2.4 metres wide with loads of cockpit and cabin space on board, this is a big boat.The seating layout is great, with about a four seater wrap-around lounge on the left and the skipper's seat and controls on the right. Behind these is an open cockpit that is a couple of metres long and wide - loads of space for fishing, or install a huge rear lounge and enjoy the party! In fact a matching re-trim of all upholstery could bring this boat right up to date and add huge value.Up front there is a very spacious cabin with large comfortable V berth, nicely padded and upholstered, plumbed marine toilet, storage areas, a forward hatch, and a new Fusion Bluetooth marine sound system (with waterproof speakers in the cockpit).The cover between the windscreen and central bar plus the brand new rear cockpit bimimi provide plenty of shade when required, or you can lower them to catch the sun.The trailer is of course big, but easy to manage and has wobble rollers, LED lights, overrider brakes, good tyres and bearings with Bearing Buddys installed.Too many features to cover them all but the boat comes with the usual lifejackets, fenders, boat hooks, under-floor fuel and water tanks, Bluetooth sound system etc.This cruiser weathered the big East Coast Low weather events a few months ago while on a mooring at Avalon (see photo), without any covers on, with no issues, so you know it's seaworthy!Boat and trailer both have NSW registration - until December for the boat and June next year for the trailer.Must be sold, payment by bank transfer or cash rather than PayPal thanks.Available for inspection by appointment, and ask any questions any time.
