PTARMIGAN is a perfect liveaboard for continual cruising or fixed mooring. She had a full hull survey in April 2016 and it was found to be in very good condition. The survey is available to see. She was blacked and new anodes put on at the same time. PTARMIGAN is a classic Minden, all steel, 47 feet cruiser stern narrowboat. She has a very reliable Lister engine and gearbox.  She has a lovely atmosphere inside and out.  She has an open plan, oak and mahogany lined interior; with separate shower, toilet, bedroom and office. Heating is by means of a Morso Squirrel wood and coal burner; with a back boiler that heats a towel rail in the toilet and radiator in the bedroom. Hot water for the shower, vanity sink and kitchen sink is by a Paloma gas water heater. She is decorated throughout in an Arts and Craft style.
