Superb long term cruiser or livaboard yacht. It is the late Westerly Longbow model from 1979, rigged as ketch, featuring all wooden interior. Both, the large headsail genoa and the main sail roll in for easy storage and handling. An extra spinnaker, light weight genoa and jib sail are included. All lines lead to the cockpit. The yacht has a wind generator and two solar panels for power generation when cruising. The spray hood and a large cockpit tent that completely encloses the outside seating area are included and near new. In the kitchen corner, a fridge is mounted in addition to the hob and a sink. Both the kitchen as well as the heads sink have an electric pump (as well as foot pump in kitchen). A recently installed Eberspacher heating system that runs on paraffin warms the interior of the boat when underway. The boat has ample storage room under the beds and seating area as well as in two closets and two outside lockers. The boat has a strong 35 hp Volvo Penta MD17C that is capable of propelling the yacht even in harsh weather. A spare anchor is included.Instrumentation includes: Garmin Echomap 50s GPS chart plotter (maps of UK, Ireland and Netherlands included), NASA Clipper log and depth sounder, Autohelm ST 4000 autopilot, NASA Clipper Wind (faulty wind speed reading), a forward-looking depth sounder (currently unmounted), VHF radio, navigation lights (bow, stern, tri sector mast top, steaming), Navtex and Weatherman. The yacht is a very well behaved sailing boat which makes it an outstanding cruiser. When going upwind, it cuts into the waves smoothly instead on hammering on top. Together with the interior equipment such as fridge, heater and external electricity generation, this yacht is well suited as long term cruiser or livaboard boat. The boat has been immaculately been maintained and improved for the last 3 years and is in very good condition.
