Description Condition: Used Year: 1957 Make: Chris Craft Engine Model: K Model: Sea Skiff Primary Fuel Type: Gas Type: Open For Sale By: Private Seller Length (feet): 1,957 Use: Fresh Water Hull Material: Wood Engine Type: Straight 6 Trailer: Included Engine Make: Chris Craft
For sale is this 1957 Chris Craft 22 ft. Sea Skiff in good condition. This boat has been stored for many years and has been recently pulled from storage to sell. The vessel has a 6 cylinder Chris Craft K engine and there is a vintage tandem axel "yard" trailer that is included in the auction. This is one of the great Chris Craft designed utility designed boats that will need some work and love to bring back to it's full potential. HULL: The hull is in good condition with some peeling paint but should be able to be repainted without stripping the old. There is a few ribs in the forward compartment that are deteriorated at the juncture with the stem. The stem is solid and the deteriorated ribs only extend up from the bottom about 6 inches. These ribs could easily be replaced and should not require replacement. In the area around this deterioration the one plywood lap shows some deterioration but could also be easily repaired. The bottom appears in good condition. TOPSIDE: The topsides are in good condition and will need some varnish to bring back to a weatherproof usable condition. On the stern starboard corner there is a small area of decking, where the deck meets the hull, that the plywood shows signs of delamination and deterioration. This is an area of approximately 2 x 3 inches in size. The remainder of the decks appear in good condition and in need of finishing the brightwork. COCKPIT: The cockpit area in nice condition and still retains the varnished interior wood rather than most which have been painted over the years. Much like the deck the interior boards are in need of a light sanding and varnish but are in very nice condition. The floor board panels are plywood and will need painted or a covering to make them weatherproof. ENGINE : The motor is a Chris Craft K, 90 hp, which is believed to be the original engine. the motor has not been started in over 10 years. The motor currently turns over with the starter but I would plan on some service due to the extended storage time. The transmissions appears in good condition as does the underwater drive components. TRAILER : The trailer appears to be of a similar time period to the boat and is in poor condition. The trailer recently hauled the vessel from storage a number of miles but it was a slow trip with an escort following. There are no lights on the trailer and the tires are in marginal condition. This trailer will not make any extended trip but we do have access to a facility that can lift the boat onto another trailer or the entire boat and trailer onto a flatbed. LEGAL STUFF: I have not willingly omitted any information on the condition or status of the above vessel or trailer. If you are an interested buyer and unsure of the true condition I suggest you come inspect yourself or hire a surveyor to represent you with an inspection. The boat is sold with a PA recognized proof of ownership with a notorized bill od sale (no PA title with vessel this old). There is NO paperwork for the trailer and it is being sold with no documentation. SHIPPING: Domestic Shipping can be arranged by any shipper you prefer or I may be able to get a local hauler to quote a price AFTER auction is completed. I will work with any shipper to get the unit successfully loaded and on its way to your location. International Shipping: I do not give international shipping quotes but do refer you to: , , , .for all overseas shipping needs. I can coordinate a local shipper to transport your purchase to the Port of Baltimore, Maryland, USA for a fair price. ANY Bidder with a rating less than 5 will need to contact me prior to bidding. If you should bid with a low rating I will cancel your bid. I appreciate new eBay users but it seems of late that there are many low rating bidders who do not follow through with sales. Please do not be offended but rather understand the issue to keep relisting due to these individuals.
Please check this one out and Bid To Win as we are selling this boat. I will require the payment format to be followed to complete the sale. Sorry to sound like a jerk but I had to list an item 4 times to get a successful sale last year due to bidders who were not qualified, serious, purchasers. Thanks for looking, SNACK
